Great park for walk, stroll with some shadow, anytime exit to beach area. Some of our friends celebrated birthdays there. Big plus that it has also playground.

A beautiful park with lots of natural shade from the canopy of the trees. There are several wide paved trails for walking and bike riding, restrooms and water fountains. There is also a designated area for dogs with an agility course. There is beach access available that opens up to another paved trail to explore.

Excellent park in the middle of high value hotel properties. I’m really glad the city maintains this park! Also watch out for the Portuguese man o war!!

South Pointe Pier is the terminus of a 8 mile paved walking & bicycle path beginning at 79th Street in Miami Beach (off Collins Ave, only a few blocks from the tragic condo collapse in Surfside). It's new, it's beautiful, and if you love people watching it's an absolute delight. Moreover, when riding along this path, you get to see all the activities along the emerald green ocean, and glimpse of luxury beach living too. The back side of the famous Fountainbleau Hotel is stunning. A bit further north are some terrific examples of art deco architecture. The police and park rangers were out in force today giving warnings to people on ebikes. A second warning comes with a ticket. At 7th street and at 12th street you can rent a Citibike if you don'thave your own it costs $18 for 4 hours. There's a number of playgrounds for young kids, and sand volleyball courts for adults. Or, you can lift weights if that's your thing. Even though it was pretty busy this afternoon, the ride time was less than one hour each way. It was a perfect breezy day. Even at $4.00 a gallon for gas, it's worth the drive to get there. We patked at 83rd St, three hours for $3.35.

Yes, it is a beautiful park located in front of the beach with all the amenities. I recommend it for a good day outdoors.

There's caution tape all around the pavilion, so I would imagine not. There is a number there to call and ask about reservations, so it's worth calling and asking
I see people walking their dogs in the park, i think they aren't allowed in the beach area
Didn't see any this week, 12.22.20 Might depend on access.
