Management is very nice and friendly. They also work with you when you get in situations. They are a good Property Management Company.

They are simply Incompetent but I will go into detail. They sent me a letter saying they are my new property manager but the letter had the wrong rent amount and date for payment. I call like any sane person would and get told repeatedly that I need to set up an online account to make a payment. I finally get through to the person I am speaking with and get told NICOLE NORRIS has to handle my account. I call DAILY for a week straight trying to speak to Nicole but get told that she is in meetings and I would get a call back but I never got one. Eventually I get smart and call as soon as they open and I catch Nicole. After explaining the situation I get told I would hear back from her after speaking to the owner. 2 weeks go pass with no response so I call and ask to speak to Nicole and surprise she is in a meeting. Luckily I get an actual call back this time but Nicole seems to have an attitude that I am asking her to do her job. Have an extremely combative conversation I learn that she spoke to the owner weeks ago and the owner disagreed with our resolution but Nicole never bothered to contact me to update me, because In her words the situation was "resolved". You can't resolve a situation if both parties don't agree that is common sense. But yes this place sucks, management is terrible, if you are a property owner steer clear away you are not in good hands Update 1: They also didn't respond to my email for the 30 days notice. Today was day 29 and I called to figure out when the final inspection was and THEY HAD NO IDEA I was leaving. If you are a property owner why would you hire property managers who don't pay attention to properties???? Update 2: NICOLE NORRIS took it upon herself to call me from her personal number (weird) to badger me and try to gaslight me after I wrote this review. After telling her I didn't want to speak with her on the phone she called me AGAIN and kept badgering and persisting that it was me being combative even though I told her not to call me TWICE. This is extremely unprofessional you shouldn't be upset that someone expected you to do something you said you would do, tenants shouldn't have to constantly play phone tag and hope people do what they say. Update 3: Went to return my keys and NICOLE NORRIS took it upon herself to engage me in an argument after I told her repeatedly I didn't want to talk to her. I also was locked in the office and had to ask repeatedly to be let out. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL After reading the other reviews a common theme comes up; unprofessional, rude, they don't take accountability. Please spend your money elsewhere.

We recently moved across the country to the Bay Area for new jobs, and our agent Olivia from Marquardt Property Management helped us find a perfect townhouse that fits our needs in Oakland. Olivia was informative and thorough during the showing. When we wanted to have a second look at the place and take some additional photos after submitting our applications, she quickly worked around our schedule to make that happen. Olivia made an effort to communicate with us periodically the week leading up to the date when we signed the lease regarding what to expect, how much time the process might take, and how to set up utilities prior to our move in date. Even after we moved in, she checked on us to ensure we were satisfied with the conditions of our new place. While we did need a couple of things fixed - such as the washer/dryer not working properly and one of our faucets did not have cold water - Olivia quickly addressed our concerns and sent maintenance technicians to fix the problems. We are leasing our place, and Marquardt Property Management make the leasing experience easy with their user-friendly website. On top of that, their app Resident Center is very well-designed, secured, and functional. We can pay rent, submit maintenance requests with attached photos from our phones, and contact management reliably via this mobile app. Overall, we are pleased with our new townhouse and do not foresee the need to move in the next few years, but if we’d do, we hope that we would be able to work with a professional company with a dedicated team like Marquardt Property Management.

Marquardt staff are very rude and unapologetic when they have made a mistake. There was absolutely no accountability from Joanna "the financial person" in the office when it came to addressing a staff mix up with a canceled check that I had spoken to her about last month. As professionals, I expected that they would demonstrate professional, compassionate attitudes when it came to resolving this matter. Instead I was meet with a dry and smug attitude regarding the office error.
