It takes weeks to get an appointment with a doctor, and they always push phone appointments on you instead of actually seeing someone. If you have any immediate needs there is never ANY doctor available. No urgent care. You’re just screwed. Especially if it’s the weekend. You can go to the ER as a last resort but you’ll get a $100 fee for that. Doctors ignore your concerns, don’t respond to messages, don’t follow up with test results. If you’re lucky to get a referral to a specialist you will get excellent care, but they avoid that at all costs. There will always be a long line at the pharmacy because if you’re lucky maybe two people will be working. Just avoid at all cost if you have other options.

The Kaiser Permanente Medical Complex in Redwood City is like a city within a city. It is intricate and labyrinthine with hidden avenues and unspoken rules. I love it. However, they lack gender neutral bathrooms, which makes gender non-binaries like me feel discriminated against. This should change. I love the artwork and open spaces in the newer facilities on Maple Street. I would like to see the wider adoption of 3D printing technology to enable the customization of medical products for KP patients. For example, I have a torn tendon in my left hand for which I need to wear a plastic splint for 6 weeks. The splints come in a limited array of sizes and don’t accommodate smaller fingers easily. A 3D printing option would allow for perfectly fitting splints and other medical implements needed for healing and recovery. There is an opportunity here to combine high quality health care with cutting edge technology that would make KPRC a worldwide leader. The CEO, Richard Isaacs, should consider it. I am happy to help.

Kaiser experience, absolutely awful. NEVER again. I am a Kaiser patient and I can't even get a referral from a Kaiser Physician to get another opinion from outside of Kaiser. I will likely have to go to Mexico to get "medical care" because of my lack of success getting care through Kaiser and they are not giving me a referral to go to Stanford. I'm not sure why exactly, but Kaiser physicians won't give referrals to outside physicians. Its so sad that I will be going to Mexico to get care likely, because i can't get a simple referral...

I am writing this review for my dad who was in the ICU - Neurology department at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City in early Jan. 2022. The service he received from his Doctor, Dr. Rao, and the entire Neurology team and ICU Team, was outstanding. He was an in-patient for almost 4 days, and Dr. Rao was there every morning to check up on him and see how he was doing. Dr. Rao also called me and updated me regularly on his prognosis. We were unable to visit him due to COVID guidelines, however, the ICU nurses/doctors kept us informed, and even called us so my dad could speak to us. I felt very comfortable and at peace knowing my dad was in the hands of the excellent team at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City. THANK YOU to each of you!

Usually ten years after the last interaction with the patient

As far as I know your husband's doctor has to refer him to kaiser and they should be able to accept workers compensation.

Kaiser Redwood City doesn't offer dental services. If you have Dental as part of your Kaiser Coverage and are looking for a dentist you can call Delta Dental and they will help you find a dentist that accepts Kaiser in your area. If unsure whether your medical plan covers dental, you can call Kaiser Member Services and a representative can look into that for you.
There is a sign out front. I could let you know when I get to work....I think its 9-5....
Check with the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder's-Elections office in Redwood City.
By "urgent Care", I'm assuming that you are referring to the "Emergency Department". From the looks of it, it's in the first floor. You can find more information about this by browsing this link: https://thrive.kaiserpermanente.org/care-near-you/northern-california/redwoodcity/departments/emergency-department/
ICU is on the 5rh floor
Yes you can have at other drug stores. Not sure about difference in prices though. You just have to tell your provider. M. Coons
You can email the doctor via your login to kp.org, or call his/her office on Monday. If he/she isn't in, someone should be covering.
Never saw visiting hours posted, but quiet hours are 9:00 pm to 7:00 am.
7pm
More than one visitor IS allowed in the delivery room for a vaginal birth (3-4 max) but only 1 person for a C-section for infection purposes. If the delivery is very high risk and we are expecting a sick or premature baby, we need to have fewer visitors in order to make room for all of the additional staff needed to ensure proper care for the newborn, giving him/her the best chance of surviving and thriving. Other than these situations we ask the patient who she wants in the room during actual pushing and they let us know their wishes. And we nurses volunteer to be the bad guy and tell the family that they aren't allowed in so that they are mad at us instead of the pregnant mother.

Redwood city has Caltrain connection. The train station is approximately 1.5 miles from the hospital. However, the city has no Amtrak connectivity. The closest Amtrak station is Hillsborough I think.
There are doctors in Oncology department who deal with Hematology.
Call adult medicine advice number or e-mail your doctor. You should be able to get a note either way.
