Very nice for kids and pets ON LEASHES. There should be a trash can in the middle of one or two of the edges of the bigger parking area since people are littering trash, even things children don't need to see, on the ground rather than walk it over to the can on the edge of the basketball court.

I wouldn't advise it. The park is close to route 17 and there is a pretty constant flow of traffic traveling at 60-65 mph. Though the park is back from RT 17, it is close enough proximity that if your dog were to get away from you, there is the possibility that it might be struck and killed or badly hurt.
There is a playground, basketball court, unfenced soccer and field hockey fields, and a fenced softball field but pets are discouraged from the fields and must be cleaned up after.
