Hands down the best urgent care I've ever been to. Everyone was friendly and professional, and they took care of me with an efficiency that blew my mind. 10/10 would recommend.

Just moved to the area, hadn't found a family doctor yet. Came down with a cough and the worst sore throat I've ever had. A few days of bed rest and salt water gargling did not help. No local family doctors were open on a Saturday so I Googled for urgent care because I needed to know what was causing this since the at-home COVID test showed negative. MD Express and Velocity were the options for the Gloucester area, with Velocity having better reviews. I called and asked if I needed to make an appointment and Linda said walk-ins were welcome. When I signed in she told me there would be an hour wait. I figured all the patients must be in the back since the lobby only had three ahead of me and I sat down to wait my turn. There is a display that shows the order of patients being called to be seen. An hour and a half later I had moved up close to the top of the list but noticed others who had come in after me had been called back. I went up to ask Linda how that display list worked and she told me the ones who were called ahead of me had appointments. If I hadn't felt so bad, it hurt to talk, I would have pressed why she didn't advise me of this on the phone, I could have made an appointment. So I sat down to wait again and was finally called back by the nicest assistant ever. She took my BP, temperature and oxygen levels, and verified the conditions I had written on the form as to why I was there, sore throat and cough. The doctor on duty came in and looked at my throat, told me it looked bad, and left, ordering a strep test. The assistant came back in and swabbed my throat, commenting on it's redness. Ten minutes later the doctor came back to tell me the test was negative but she was going to prescribe antibiotics anyway. It's seems she would have just left if I hadn't painfully asked what good were antibiotics if what I had was viral and she explained they only test for strep type A, so I could have B or C. I'm amazed I made it to the pharmacy and home. The next day and three pills into the amoxicillin, my throat actually hurts like a normal sore throat and not like I just gulped boiling water as it had previously. But my cough is much worse, which isn't helping the throat heal. Because I felt so bad at the time I wasn't thinking clearly enough to ask why she didn't feel my glands or look in my ears or listen to my chest through a stethoscope. That's the omission that really gets me, as I'm hacking my head off. How could a doctor not listen to your chest when coughing is one of the reasons for the visit? They didn't even take my weight, don't all medical facilities do that? I'm thankful for the antibiotics on a Saturday, but next time I won't procrastinate and instead, see a real GP M-F. Or if I must visit urgent care in Gloucester on a weekend, I'll try MD Express.

Both the nurse and the doctor treated my 6 year old for his first ear infection with the friendliest and most efficient care that I could ask for. After a not-so-great experience with a different urgent care at the beginning of the year, my son was reluctant to even tell me how bad he was feeling before I made his appointment. It is so important to give children positive experiences and reassurance during medical visits and we absolutely had that! Thanks!

Took my wife here awhile back and they made a relatively minor problem potentially life-threatening. Apparently nobody there that day took a look at my wife's paperwork, and prescribed her an anti-biotic with a long list of terrible side effects, most of which she dealt with the rest of the day. It was an antibiotic that, had they looked at her chart and understood it, they should never have prescribed her. The copay was a ridiculous amount, and though the PA who saw her was polite despite this MASSIVE oversight, the nurse was very curt and rude. Don't think we'll come back, life-threatening issue or otherwise.
