We have taken several excursions on the Schooner Fame including a couple sunset cruises too. Every experience has been so much fun, love the sights and the history and the gorgeous coastal views, but what makes it unforgettable is the staff. They are always so upbeat and friendly and fun. On a recent trip we actually ran into an unexpected heavy storm, and the crew leaped into action seamlessly getting us back to port safely. Impressive.

This was such an amazing experience! We had so much fun! The ship was so nice, the crew was astounding, and you can help with the sails and steering the ship of you want to! They have drinks and snacks too. This was such a wonderful experience, i would do it again if i had time :) Highly recommend 100%

AWESOME BOAT TOUR! Was a beautiful day for sailing and the Schooner Fame experience was really nice for a journey on the water. Bought myself a colorful t shirt also. Had a coke & rum on board. Michael Rutstein the owner really knows his history. Firing of the cannon was fun to experience. Even got to raise the sails with the crew. Worth EVERY PENNY!

It was cold, but best part of the vacation. Was able to steer the ship, pull up the sail, and jig the boat. BEST FUN EVER!!!! Definitely recommend. Crew was friendly, told the history of the bay, the story of building the boat, everything! I can't say enough about the crew and the information. SOOO much fun!!! Take the kids on this one, they would so enjoy!

If we cancel the sail due to weather, we will issue a full refund. Of course, you can also choose to reschedule.
Linda, it depends on the wind strength and direction that day, because we really are sailing! Some days towards Marblehead, other days toward Beverly, other days straight out toward the islands. Although the trips are relatively short, we do get well out of the harbor and often as far as West Beach in Beverly Farms, or Children's Island off Marblehead.

If you buy a voucher, you save money, but you *cannot* make a reservation. That's the tradeoff.
