I've come here for the last few years for the free tax help (worth $200). Everyone is very helpful and they are thorough with the tax assistance. I have also taken some classes on improving my credit. They provide simple, sound financial advice and guidance to help you reach your goals. They have many programs to support and empower the individual as well as the community. They have helped a lot of families here. I am very grateful for all their help and support. They are the finest people there!!! Thank you all!

Kathy is amazing! The lower rating vis due to how filthy it is in there and the lady who answered phones. She was clueless and so unprofessional. The waiting room was not just filthy from selfish clients. I understand it is a non profit but ....

I'm so grateful to this organization for the incredible amount of assistance they have been able to share with me and my children. I don't know how we would have a roof over our heads or utilities on, if not for the help of CVOEO and the wonderful, kind, hard-working, and dedicated employees there. Thank you so much!!

I agree with Missy above and I have some additional ideas as well. Women Helping Battered Women will be especially useful if you're too scared to tell your landlord because of what the neighbor might do. Their # is: 802-658-1996. Other organizations that might be able to help are, VT Legal Aid 1-800-889-2047, Disability Rights (if that qualifies for your situation) 1-800-834-7890 and yes, CVOEO also offers lots of housing help from utilities to security deposits and they have an ongoing project called The Fair Housing Project and you can reach them at 802-660-3456 x106 or x110 and the main CVOEO # is 802-862-2771. Good luck!! You dont deserve to be scared in your own home!
It's a housing authority for Chittenden county. They help low-income and homeless people get subsidized housing and or section-8 housing vouchers.
