I was glad to find out that I was not alone in my experience when I read the 2 or 3 other low reviews the campground received. I echo exactly their sentiment. My encounter with the owner also left me mystified, why would someone in that position take a condescending tone over something as simple as payment method. He sounded fine on the telephone, but in a very brief few seconds after meeting him in person I realized I needed to move my family along and not stay there for the night. In those few moments the owner`s true colors were evident just below the surface. He was somehow dismissive and disingenuous. As if I did not have a choice about staying there and was somehow indebted to him. It was this entitled, self-righteous attitude that immediately struck me as different from other people I had met in Maine over the course of my vacation. It was as if he lacked the respect that human beings have for each other, even if they are strangers. There was something going on here, not about camping, something bigger about life under the surface, and something going on which my gut told me I did not want to be a part of, period. Secondly, I was not thrilled by the spacing in the campground. I had not seen a campground like that anywhere except maybe a shanty town in Lima, Peru. Heck, that sight alone may be a reason enough to visit. I don`t write reviews, but when I read the others I wanted to confirm their experience.

For the 1st night opening for season. Right on par. Food was delicious. Wait staff on top of everything, considering they were short staffed.

Sunshine, family, friends, kayaking, paddle boards, sea glass finds, running on the beach, feast with lobsters and steamers with lots of laughs sitting on the rocks!!!! What's not to love, making memories!

I wasn't aware they ever had a 7 night minimum. I'm staying here this week and I have seen many people come in for 1 or 2 nights. I also come up for Labor Day and we just stay for 3 - 4 days.
Yes if they are service dogs with papers
Thank you so much Elizabeth well said we do allow rental RVs 24 ft or less on the offseason from July till September we are booked solid before and after we have open sights we open on the second week of May we close in a second week of October
This is not my campground....they do have seasonal sites tho call them about a week before Memorial Day and ask...
Yes, the seasonality seemes to be due to lack of snow removal. There simply isn't space to move snow and allow for cars to enter or park. You should call in advance before visiting during early spring or late fall.
I'm not from there I just get a block of campsites each summer for a week and family and friends come up and stay... great place and great people running it... it's the only Campground on the ocean with direct access to the water for fishing, kayaking and other things like it has a beach and a restaurant as well... I highly recommend it
