I know what you're thinking - the place is in Maine, how good can it be. Let me tell you, we have eaten all over the world and Frankie and Johnny's is in the top 5 meals we've ever had. The food is over-the-top delicious and absolutely fresh. I don't even like pork chops, but I ordered them anyway and they were nothing short of amazing. The pear reduction, the sweet potatoes, I think I even ate the garnish because it looked spectacular. DO NOT hesitate to make a reservation here - you will not be disappointed. And further - this is a local place, owned by great local people. Please come and support them. They absolutely deserve it. And lastly when you come and have an amazing meal, tell 100 people about it so this local gem can prosper.

the most amazing food and the presentation is as amazing! This restaurant is not to be missed by anybody coming to Maine. Thea is the most wonderful hostess and it's as if you are going into her home and she gives you her personal attention. The staff are phenomenal too! Nothing is too much trouble and they catered to our every need. Personalized attention. Terrific and beautiful and the ambience and location is so lovely. It's like stepping into your best friend's home and being invited to dinner. The best! Thank you Frankie and Johnnie's restaurant. We wanted to give our friends a special last night in Maine. And you delivered. We will be back.

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon and the food was delicious! The reason I give it a 4 and not a 5 though is because the chef doesn't like you to change the dish as it's written in the menu. You couldn't order a dish and ask for it without artichoke hearts, for example, you just have to take the dish as is, even if you really dislike artichoke hearts. But the dishes we got were delicious! We just had to eat around anything we weren't fond of.

We were greeted at the door by Frankie...been coming here for years and love the atmosphere here! The Lobster Purses are to die for! I had the Saturday night special of haddock and lobster tail. Delectable!!! My +1 had the salmon and was done perfectly! It is a bring your own bottle restaurant, They are very accommodating with your beverages (wine). It’s also cash only...our bill was $90 with a shared app + tip so $110 for an amazing dining experience. In my humble opinion, well worth every cent!
