What Saint Francis does is the greatest thing for our Fur babies I reached out for help and they were there within 30 minutes the minutes I can't thank them enough for saving these sweet babies and finding them a loving home One of the great organizations out there

Lori and her team are fantastic! Love donating to them and it's always a fun place to shop! And know you're helping the cats!

We just brought Miss Betty home last night. (June) she is a beautiful girl. Loves her snuggles. So loving..follows us all around the house. Even to my bathroom. We love here to the moon and back.

2 part answer. The thrift shop is small but full of a bit of everything and quite reasonably priced. If you can't find it the volunteers will gladly let you know if it happens exists there and even help you find it. Packed full but very clean welcoming atmosphere. The adoption center is very friendly and reasonable fees. Not sure why a FEW people are complaining about fee on reviews as the cats come fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and vet checked which would cost WAY MORE if you had to do all these things at a vet. Very helpful finding the correct "fit" and which cats need certain homes. I was very impressed with the whole operation and could tell this place truly cared about the cats.

I do not work there... But from my understanding yes. They keep the cats that are "unadoptable" in another area. I also like their background check process and education towards new adopters.
We do not have a clinic onsite for spay or neuter....but we are working on raising the funds to buy one. Contact Suncoast Humane Society or Cat Depot for low cost spay neuter.
Yes they do. I just donated a bunch. They pick out which ones they can put in the thrift shop to sell and which they can use in the shelter for the cats. I love that. Hope that helps you. Thank you for caring. No, I don't work or volunteer there yet.
They would appreciate the jewelry.
Did it come to you or did you trap it?
We are not associated with any other Rescues. There are several rescues around the country associated with the nane St. Francis, as St. Francis was the patron St. of animals. We are St. Francis Animal Rescue of Venice, located at 1925 S. Tamiami Trail, Vneice FL 34293. This is our only location
HI Georgia, We are not an ASPCA we are a small non-profit cat only Rescue. You might try one on of the Mobile Vaccine places around town. One of the auto parts stores on Tamiami is ( having a low cost clinic this month and the pet food stores have them from time. You can also call Animal Rescue Coalition ( ARC ) they offer them, but they are all the way in Sarastoa off of Fruitville. There are many options.
If you have the cat you can take him to the shelter or to any vet, they will scan him for a miscrochip. I think the Sarasota Animal services can also come out and scan him for a chip. Their number is 941-861-9500
They usually do
I have volunteered at the shelter for a couple of years & have not encountered this. That having been said, St Francis cares for dozens of cats & a cat may have just sprayed urine or the litter wasn't good @ odor control. The place is cleaned every morning & volunteers work throughout the day, cleaning litter boxes, making sure the cats have clean water etc. Management makes sanitary conditions a priority.
Hello Pat, We currently do not have a fostering dog program. Thank you for your inquiry.
So sorry to hear about your dog. No dogs, there are only cats.
No, it is not a boarding service. It is a rescue and adoption center.
I think you will have to go and talk to them.
St Francis is a shelter for cats.
