First time there. We thought it would be a lot bigger with more things to see. Less than a half hour and we saw it all. There is free parking (very limited) and no admission fee.

One of the best places to photograph nesting birds. The day we visited we saw several groups of school children learning about birds and their habitat.

A fun place to view many different birds. The only reason I just gave it 4 stars is due to the fact that a bunch of construction in the area has now greatly limited parking. Hopefully that will eventually change. We were there at 7am and got the last spot.

An excellent place to go especially this time of year when the birds have nests on the Rookery. And if you're there at dusk you will get to see the bats come out of their bat houses. Nothing quite like it. There is parking there and a shelter if you want to take a lunch. There is a porta potty on premises as well.

If you are a Florida resident, full time, you can homestead. Forms at your county office. It lowers your property tax.
