Professional Theatre during the summer: in 2022 we've seen an mountain-side valley view of a concert version of "Sound of Music," followed by an in-the-theatre production of "Cabaret"--really engrossing and moving. As I write this, a three-week run of "Mamma Mia" opens tomorrow 8/4/22.

This is a gorgeous theater with great sound & lighting. Every production I have seen over the past year has been creatively staged, and each company has been fantastic. After moving to the area from outside Manhattan, one of the things I genuinely missed was Broadway. I have visited several theaters in northern New England and Jean's is by far the best.

The playhouse will be closed for a few months this winter because experience has unfortunately taught us that the visitors are mostly in Lincoln to ski, not to see shows. While the week of February vacation has always been a good one, it sadly does not cover the costs of staying open the rest of the month. We are excited to try our new model of opening for three out of four seasons this year, focusing our resources on our main summer shows, our education programming in the spring and fall, and all the great comedians and cover bands we will still be presenting from May through December. Also, we will still have a few events this winter in neighboring venues, such as our February Murder Mystery.
This is nothing playing at that time, for they are getting ready for Peter Pan and Wendy.
