My family loves this area. We come up and visit every year or 2. It's a great hike that's pretty easy for most people. There's trails, waterfalls & river pools showcasing nature's beauty. It's short money to enter and isn't too busy on most weekdays. Weekends definitely crowd up more but it's still worth it.

What a great hike! Flume Gorge is beautiful. As you hike through the gorge you will see a few waterfalls, granite gorge walls, flumes, covered bridges, caves, natural stone formations, and some nice views of the surrounding mountains. Very scenic for sure! You can go at your own pace on this hike and spend as much time as you want. Though most people probably take about 1 1/2 to two hours. Viewpoints are setup along the trail to view the best spots. You will want to take many photos as you go along. Also, both Liberty Gorge and Flume Gorge are a part of the hike. You should purchase tickets ahead of time to save money. This gorge is a little bigger and better than nearby Lost River Gorge, but both places offer a good time and both are worth doing!

I purchased ticket online for $19. Walk in price is $21. I think $19 is too expensive for a state park. It was a very nice hike though. It took me about an hour and 45 minutes. I stopped several times to take photos. Its steep moderate hike. There are wooden stairs that lead to the waterfalls. Wooden stairs are wet, so be careful.

Fascinating and exciting hike experience. Hike for round trip is about an hour. There are several scenic spots to enjoy. Part of the hike is wood surface, so make sure you wear something that is not slippery. Also rain coats wouldn't be a bad idea.

Okay
It's a 2 mile home round trip from the visitor center, but you can take a short bus shuttle in which case just the hike within the gorge is left and that is short and mostly on wooden walkways. The overall hike is easy but nice. A lot of folks take the bus in and walk back out.
We ordered all 5 of our tickets under my husbands name and had no issue at the gate
Yes. But it's preferred you do it online due to the summer rush. Most of the times almost all the slots get booked and you might have to wait or even go back.
They don't allow dogs normally. I am not sure about service dogs.
The Flume Gorge entry costs $16 for adults and $14 for children from 6-12.
Like most responses the answer is no. But we saw 2 or 3 dogs pop out of pocketbooks who had leashes. Dishonest but they did make trail even more fun
You can do hike but not sure about spikes. You can call n check with them
No reservations you can purchase your tickets early online but you can just go to the park and pay right there at the entrance of the path
Pets are not allowed and I believe their website says the boardwalk is closed for 3 weeks as of Oct 25, 2021. They are readying the trails and boardwalk for winter use.
Seniors are free if you live in NH, $18 for all other adults.
I believe so, if I remember correctly that asked me if I was a Vet. It's a 3 dollar discount I think. Either way it's worth it.
The hrs are Sunday to Saturday 9-5. Enjoy, it's beautiful!!
My 4 year old did it but a lot of older kids were having a hard time. We just took it slow and there is only one option which is 2 hours long. My son had a break down at the last 10 minutes. If you have a way to carry your little one through i would recommend it.
Buy them online. If you don't it's not guaranteed you will get tickets and you have to pay extra to buy them at the park.
This is helpful-https://www.nhstateparks.org/visit/state-parks/flume-gorge Season doesn't start till May. Off season no cost.
I don't think so an it is open at your own risk for the winter season
The park is closed . You cannot get in as it has a specific entry gate which is closed now. Please visit below link for additional details https://www.nhstateparks.org/visit/state-parks/flume-gorge
To be sure, book a ticket online. There will be no fee for you.
All tickets are nonrefundable unfortunately and i don't think you can change the times im sorry.
Chipmunks 4 days they run on by they come up to you and they are amazing.
Its 2 miles and takes about an hour and a half maybe 2hrs if you stop a lot... pretty easy terrain with some stairs...
You can cancel and re-book, or you can try calling the Flume and ask if they can move your reservation. 603-745-8391.
Over 65 is senior and yes you need to purchase tickets online in advance.
I'm not sure if thunder causes the park to close but what I can say that in the event of a severe thunderstorm the trail can be more difficult to hike.
Unfortunately the National Park Pass is not accepted at Flume Gorge, Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, Wallis Sands State Beach, Hampton Beach State Park, camping, or parking meters.
Check the website if so you will probably have to make a reservation on the website anyway
I did not eat when I was near the walk. Me and my girlfriend stopped at a quaint resteraunt off the railroad tracks across from the Franconia fire dept. It was amazing.
The longest trail is two miles round trip. There is a shorter loop that comes back from Avalanche Falls and Bear Cave, along the Rim Trail that goes back to Table Rock around the basically one way section through the narrow part of the gorge. You can make it even shorter by taking the shuttle bus up to just below Table Rock. The longer two mile loop includes the covered bridge and Wolf's Den that the shorter trip along the gorge doesn't include.
I tried online couldnt get them got them at the venue no problem
Yeah the visitor center and gift shop close around 5. As do the main bathrooms there. We stayed til about 7 just recently which was nice.
Your an adult outside. You can bring cake anywhere. You literally dont have to ask. Just always remember the lorax speaks for the trees and if you litter he'll break your friggin knees.
No. You can walk around down below at the information center. But you can't gain access to the gorge. The walk/hike to it is on a bumpy trail and then there are wooden steps to step on to see the gorge.
Some parts of the trail can be accessed by the handicapped but they will need assistance groom two people to make it to the edge of the gorge.
Not in the Gorge area but the Bike Path for the whole FNSP starts in the upper parking lot.
No, it's a State Park.
The diabetic cat camp ground is at Lake Whoa Be Gone which is actually just a feeder pond to the gorge where the fish that the cats eat there are fed on greens, beans, onions, mushrooms, bitters and seeds. Processed fish food is strictly forbidden. Vehicle inspection at the entrance gate.. Leave your sliced bread and hamburger rolls at home! Good luck!
I think it might be closed but I'm not sure you might be able to find their information if you look it up on Google. Sorrry I can't help you sir
Just don't, stairs, slippery rocks, wet board's, loose gravel just a recipe for disaster.
1 hour
I asked, we do not, sorry.
No
There is a shuttle bus that will take you from the visitor center close to Flume Gorge. But there is still uphill walking and stairs to get to/through the gorge itself.
$16 for adults, $14 for children ages 6-12, free for 5 and under to do the walk. Or if you do the discovery pass it's $30 for adults and $24 for children 6-12
I don't think there is a train near by. It's all mountains or hilly terain. Here is a link to the Flume in Lincoln NH. https://www.nhstateparks.org/visit/state-parks/flume-gorge.aspx
Yes
The george is beautiful. Scenic. Try to go early in in the morning. There is natural granite and the water flows. Amazing
No. You have to hold through the visitor center to access the path up to flume.
