Good place to stop and take a walk, or a long hike. Several trails can be accessed here so several options are available. The trail we were on followed an old logging railroad so it was relatively flat and well maintained. Some mud in spots but a good trail for an easy walk. Bridge across the river is fairly new. Lots of parking available. Just a couple miles east of Lincoln, NH on the Kancamagus highway.

What are trail conditions like on the Pemigewassat loop in April? Is there normally snow on 100% of the trail, or just in the alpine areas? My understanding is that the temperature is still about freezing all the time in April.

NH has had a bunch of snow this winter so I imagine there will be be a monorail for most of the loop. It depends on what time in April you're planning to hike the loop too. I would plan on snow the entire route, especially this year

Is there enough snow to XC ski along the Lincoln woods trail, has it been tracked yet.

Yes and I'm not sure. A friend hiked on the Lincoln Woods Trail Saturday and said it was packed down for hiking.
