My Stepdad almost died at this facility because of Kindred and their negligence. We saw the horrific care he was receiving and we requested that he be transferred back to San Antonio Hospital. They would not discharge him. We took him out of this terrible facility and literally had to transport him ourselves because AMR would not transport him because he was not legally discharged. Once we arrived at San Antonio Hospital, he received the appropriate care. His surgeon said thank goodness you took him out of Kindred Care, he was severely dehydrated and basically starving to death. His infection returned while in Kindred Care because he was not receiving the antibiotics he should have been given while under their care. Do not send your loved ones to any of their facilities!!! You will regret it like we do!!!

I have had excellent service while I'm have been at Kindred Hospital Ontario. Sabrina Patient Relations nurse has been excellent and takes care of my care issues in a timely manner and goes above and beyond the scope of her job she would normally entail. Andrew Registered dietitian has been excellent and provides the food I request on my meals. The nurses have been spectacular on unit 2. Thank you again John.

Most of the staff do a good job of taking care of me. I want to share my appreciation of the staff that work so hard from my Doctors, RN, LVN, housekeeping, Wound care, Therapist and Rehabilitation. As a patient, I would like to commend some staff members that do go "above and beyond the call of dudy" every day to care for me. Nursing: Shelly RN -who is very sweet, Alivan, Rosa, Eva- care givers for being so kind and helpful, (Eva thank you for making me laugh)". Veronica and Isabell for being so motivating. Respiratory: Ken, Steve, Danny-the man, Peggy, Stephanie and Ryan for always being so helpful and making me feel comfortable. Dietary- Andrew RD for making sure I get the right food I orderered. Patient Relations- Sabrina for always solving my care questions to improve the care I receive. Nurse Manager- Charles for follow-up on my daily care the nurses provide. My Doctor : Dr Kim for being informative during his room visits. Love Terry

My wife was admitted to Kindred by my request. She was recovering from a brain infection that left her on a ventilator. Since being at Kindred she is off the ventilator and is recovering on oxygen and breathing on her own. I will say no hospital is perfect and care is not perfect. But, Kindred responded to ALL my advocacy issues following up on EACH one. I will say Sabrina and Edna arranged my wife's care with excellence. The various Doctors : Respiratory, Primary, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Wound Care, Occupational, PT, Pharmacy, Dietitions, and there supporting Nursing staff, rallied around to facilitate my wife's care with dignity. Communication was a challenge with all that was going on but I feel that I got answers to my questions by being persistent, and there were a lot of them. I took advantage of the Family Care Conference. Would I send my wife here again knowing what I know? Yes absolutely.
