Real nice nature hike. Paths somewhat cleared out. Had to step over tree roots and such and climb 1000 give or take steps to reach the top, a good experience. The view is amazing wondering what it takes and how long it took to create these types of shapes. Very cool. The state is working on making it even better to explore.

First time visiting. It was a gorgeous day! The trails were pretty muddy, but that is to be expected after some rain. Beautiful views!! I recommend shoes you don't mind getting dirty just in case, and the trails are easy to follow.

My gosh. Not a hike I had planned for. The elevation can be steep in places, and you’ll have to go quite a ways before you get some scenic views. But the real kicker for me was the kid. SO. MUCH. MUD. It made the path slippery, and in some places downright dangerous. But, it was a beautiful escape into the woods offering glimpses of the wildlife and a nice view at the top. I wouldn’t say that the Chimney Bluff view was worth it once you’re up there, but it’s nice to be working toward something. So I count it as a win. Only con, why are they charging $5 for parking here? Seems steep for an hour hike and unnecessary considering it was a ghost town upon arrival.

This is one of my favorite hikes rain or shine. The canopy of trees provides the perfect cover on the trail and provides some great views from above the bluffs out over the lake. Upper and Lower access for in and out hike or loop.

Ok letting everyone know that part of the Bluff trail is open but only on the east side of the park. West side is still closed but detour signs are posted on the west side of the park so people can still walk the trails. Word is that there will be a trail crew coming late summer /early fall and will be putting in a new trail.
Yes. I was there just yesterday and seen a lot of them. Most if not all were on a leash
If you go to the part that is closer to East Bay Park you can launch there, or launch in east bay itself and paddle out to the lake through a channel. East bay is an interesting paddle if you enjoy bird watching.
When I was there the group I was with climbed the hills to see the bluffs pretty good. Just a steep climb up and back down.
No not at all Its only hiking trails.
We were there over the last weekend and it looked as though all the trails were open. The parking lots were full and the overflow was parked out along the roads. We went kayaking and had a wonderful time but if you're looking to sit on the beach you may be in for a little walk to find an open space.
