Everyone was helpful and great to talk to plus the sod was in great shape when we picked it up.

I called with measurements rep. suggested to go up in square footage to save up more. What a great suggestion! Thank you, I wish I knew the rep's name he was fantastic . We used all pallets because we were able to use the left overs for a smaller project. Also, next day delivery. John the driver brought in our kentucky Bluegrass in great shape. grass looks great!

We needed approximately 100 rolls of sod for our backyard repair. The people here were very helpful, my husband arranged to get it one pick up load at a time. We would call before leaving home and when he got there the sod was ready to be loaded. The quality of the sod is great and the price was fantastic. Would recommend them to anyone!

Paid for 2500 square feet of grass over the phone and had them deliver it. A few months back I bought a similar amount. I told them today where to place the sod when it was delivered. I was specific where I wanted it. I called later to find out they put the sod in a different place where I just had a drainage system installed. I talked with Jerry and he said there was a truck blocking the spot where I wanted it. When I asked Jerry why he didn’t call and notify me about the problem he became combative. He then said he was taking the sod back off my property which I already paid for. I told him not to go back on my property’s day take the sod. It was delivered and paid for. He took it against my directive. I know have a compromised drainage system that needs repairs and no sod. Jerry was very unprofessional. He knows they’re their the only sod place in town so he is punishing me for his lack of communication. I’ll find a different sod place and will tell everyone about Jerry!

Julie, while Ron has answered your question, we do NOT recommend using a ROLLER to compact the soil unless you use it VERY VERY LIGHTLY and only if absolutely needed. I'd recommend that you look over RED HEN TURF FARM's OFFICIAL Guide on how to prepare for and install sod - available on our website. If you go to redhenturf.com, underneath our Barn Log in Yellow, look for the words PDF LIBRARY, click there and look at the 2nd Link called Prepare for & Installing & Patching with Sod - if you review that and have more questions, please feel free to call us so we can more easily talk about your project 574-232-6811 - THANK YOU FOR ASKING! - Lisa, Red Hen Turf Farm Here's a DIRECT LINK to the document I'm referring to: https://redhenturf.com/pdfs/B1.5%20Prepare%20for%20&%20Installing%20&%20Patching%20with%20Sod_ver1_01-29-14_printable.pdf FOR MORE on this topic: https://redhenturf.com/blog/index.php/from-the-red-hen-faq-vault-soils-for-lawn-considerations-for-seeding
Hi Ronald, If you pick it up at our farm the total with tax is $42.80. Please call your order in before heading out to make sure we are harvesting. Thank You,
Measure out 2x5 areas...dig out existing grass etc..2inches deep..roll out new turf starting at either end but don't start in the middle...custom sized pieces using shovel to cut..turf cuts pretty easy..
We started harvesting on April 9th 2018. If you need an order please call do to rain and harvesting delays.
