Difficult to respond, initially and was late to each appointment but did call to notify us. (our time isn't valuable, right??) Our relative's auction was split into two, and several months apart. Didn't notify family as to when the …Hi Sue! I'm surprised to see you so upset with what I thought was a job well done. As you know, I drove over an hour on more than 1 occasion to meet with your family. I often am going from appt. to appt. and can run a few minutes late. I'm trying to help as many families as possible. I looked back at my phone and see I did text and call when I was running behind. I absolutely believe your time is valuable and believe you were able to visit with family while waiting. I explained when we met that our schedule has been behind due to the wild real estate market. The executor is who I communicate with primarily on any estate. My understanding was getting the items out of the home was the priority, not having the items sold asap. The 1st time we met, I was informed not all decisions had been made be family and I wouldn't complete a contract. At the 2nd appt, I was told there was nothing left the family wanted. Had you expressed a concern about wanting to have items, I would have advised you to take them prior to auction. It was never communicated to me that family wanted to come bid on the items. My crew worked long, late hours to complete the job in the time your family requested. I suggested you look at the website for upcoming items and photos. I encourage clients to look online if they want to see what and when items are going for auction. Many clients don't want to watch it. You may have forgotten, but I did call you back when you called me. My phone says I returned your call 5 minutes after you called. You said there were Christmas decorations missing from your sheets. I explained they were likely in the box lot area and may be listed as such. I do not have any of your family's property. I did communicate with the executor throughout the auction process. He was there when items were removed and excited to capitalize on the sale of the real estate and closing was taking place on the home thanks to our efficient work. Items sold were photographed and shown on Facebook, auctionzip.com, estatesales.net, etc. All of this was in the contract and a copy was given to the executor AND explained in your presence. I can only control so much and family communication is not one of them. We removed all trash (lots) and salable items from the home, had it empty for closing, sold all items and paid the estate. We also did this work with much respect to your mom and family. You would be hard pressed to find an auctioneer who would care as much as I do. You mentioned having issues with other auctioneers you've been upset with in the past-- I am not them. I run a reputable, hard-working family business.
