Nice area to walk with dogs or run.

The park is nice but its location is too close to a major I- 80 freeway. As a result, between 3 pm and 7pm it is very noisy here and the area is poluted from the cars and trucks stuck in a heavy traffic going Eastbound. Best time to be in the park is between 10 am and 3 pm. In the morning, between 6 am and 10 am, the noise and pollution are coming from the traffic going westbound toward San Francisco and Oakland. Otherwise, the park is wounderful and well maintained.

Walking along side the water is a great experience for me and my pup to get to know each other better! It is also a great view and has many great people of all ages doing many different activities! We like to watch the ducks, geese, other dogs, frisbee players, kids, and much more!

-Public bathrooms👍 Not the cushiest👎 -Outdoor exercise areas(2) the nicer of the 2 not photographed 👍 -A little historical lesson 👍 -Safety⚖️ on the trail yes, but as I was walking back I noticed several cars(4-6) that were parked on the side of the road that had their tires slashed this particular day. Asked a gentleman that it happened to about the situation he said it was a lady that lived under the bridge that did it. The parking lot were I parked is close to a business and seemed the safer place to park.

Yes, from the both entrances (Emeryville/Bolivar Dr. and Berkeley/Bancroft St.)
You can paddle board in the lake, but careful of your footing around the shoreline. Debris often shows up along the east side where we play disc golf. Transients frequent the park, so there can be refuse. Otherwise, it should be fine. Plenty of water skiers and kayaking going on.
They're called topsmelt and they're tiny. Here's a video of them jumping around. https://youtu.be/0Cs3YqCBO4U
There are dozens of RVs in that area parked around the park cops don't hassle u as long as you don't throw your trash on the street
The picnic area usually sought out are on the north side. Drive to the end of Bolivar drive park and walk along the path past the bathrooms; there you will find more picnic areas.
It's basically the distance from ashby to university if you look at each side as a parallel line. So about 2 miles in total.
