Follow the rules and you’ll have a great time. The rules: 1. Read the email you’re sent prior to your ride 2. Don’t lie about your weight (your safety and your horse’s safety depends on it) 3. Don’t try to sneak banned items onto the trail 4. Arrive on time (just like when you were in school, no one’s going to repeat instructions just for you. They’re also not going to hold up the group just for you) 5. Listen to the guides during the ride It’s that easy. My group of 10 had a great time. The host was efficient, funny, and professional. The guides were very helpful. We’d definitely book here again.

Greed took the fun out of it. These people are quick to cancel your reservation if you’re late to their 6 minute talk about how your feet are attached to your body. The riding demo was useless if you truly know nothing about riding. These people don’t allow you to bring your phone on the property because you might take a picture. They sell picture packs starting at $45, I’ve been to much better ranches and they just texted me the pictures for free. As soon as I got on the property, it was clear that the driving factor is not the customer having a good time, it is only to make money. I wouldn’t go back if you payed me.

I had a horrible experience with this company. I’d never ridden a horse before, but wanted to try something new. The demonstration was 3 minutes long and wasn’t very thorough. The guides then let my whole group leave without me. Then when instructing me and me asking for clarification they shouted at me and said in a very condescending tone, “Didn’t you listen to the demonstration? You no watch? You no hear?”. I was uncomfortable the entire ride and they did nothing to help. They did end up moving me up with my group, so our horses were together which was nice. My group signed up for a 2 hour sunrise beach ride and it was only an hour and a half. After getting back and trying to dismount, I got yelled at again even though I followed their directions. I’ll never be going back and because of them, I may never try to ride a horse again. If you’re a first time horse rider, this is not the place for you. I wouldn’t want your first time to be tainted by a horrible and traumatic experience like mine was.

I had the best time ever at Seahorse Ranch with my family. My mother booked a family ride for my baby sisters 24th birthday. We had a party of 10 including my 10 year old handicap nephew and 6 year old niece. We communicated to the host about my handicap nephew and she was able to make special arrangements for him. We were surprised to see a personal and professional photographer with us on the ride to capture our moments as a family together on the beach ridding horses. "DO NOT PUT YOUR KEYS IN YOUR FRONT SWEATER POCKET" I made that mistake after they told me not to have anything in my pockets..(totally my fault, I should have left my keys and personal items in the office like everyone else) Sooooooo, I had to leave my car over night on their property while I drove 6 hours home to get my spare key. When I arrived the next day, my car was just the way I left it. ALL THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY AND SUPER ACCOMMODATING. I CANT WAIT TO GO BACK. THAK YOU SEAHORSE RANCH FOR THE AMAZING EXPERIENCE.

Depends how long of a ride you want to take the beach ride it's 1.5 hours and 80.00
Attosha, sorry you've had trouble reaching us. What the website does is suggest you call us to see if there is any availability--if there is, it shows you that you are able to book your ride. If not, it suggests you call to see if some cancellations have been received. So, you don't need to call to book--just locate a day and time which works for your schedule as well as ours, and set the reservation. Thanks.
No, you need no previous riding experience. We have horses for first time riders, and we do a pretty thorough riding demonstration before we put anyone on horseback. Thanks.
We don't allow cameras of any kind while you are on horseback. If our photographer is here, which is generally weekends, he will be out on his Segway taking wonderful shots of each group. If he isn't here, your guides, with their smartphones, will be taking pictures of you, all along the ride, and then if you give him/her your phone number, they will send them off to you as soon as the ride is over. Thanks.
Thank you Willa...when i tried to add my photo i got cut off yesterday...not good w electrnics
We have a height/weight chart online, which tells you what the maximum weight for your height is. www.seahorseranch.org. Thanks
Sometimes the horses pick up their own speed to get caught up. It all depends on your experience on riding. If no experience they won't. Safety is always first.
Depends on when you go and how long you want to ride for.
Ericha, thanks for your inquiry. The maximum weight depends on your height. Check the chart on our website: www.seahorseranch.org, find your weight, and then scroll over to the maximum weight for that height. For example, maximum weight for someone 6'1 is 240; maximum weight for 5'1 is $170. Thanks. Willa
Early bird special is $60 a person, the website says the prices too
We keep health records on every horse, including farrier records, dental records, vet visits, worming, health issues. Thanks
Thanks for your inquiry, Souphan. We don't take walk-ins, so PLEASE book online! Hope to see you soon.
Their paperwork says 240lb weight limit. But they said that riders bigger than that *may* be accommodated if a capable horse is available. Best to call in advance to set that up specifically.
Yes but i would think they would have to be around 12 years old. I would call to verify before going.
Depends on which ride you choose. Check their website for pricing.
