Nice day kinda crowded walked for 5 min down the beach to a spot further down we were able to enjoy some shallow water and not have people in your face, the beach here is large rock and I recommend water shoes or slides the terrain and pathway to the beach is not the greatest but better than a TV screen!

Clean water, nice and peaceful place. The water is constantly flowing so current kinda strong. Just be careful.

Great place close to st louis to get some "beach" time. It is on the meramec River so you need to be careful with the current, you will be fine with children if you stay close to the rivers edge. There is one small parking lot that could get full really fast. We will definitely be back!

Perfect access to Al Foster and Stinging Nettle trails, as well as very nice sandbars in the Meramec for fishing or just general frolicking in the river. Be aware that there are no facilities at this trailhead, so if you want bathrooms or water fountains you will need to go to the Al Foster Memorial Trailhead to the east, or to Castlewood State Park to the west.

I. believe it's the DNR and st. Louis county and your right it's a pig sty I called the county for a trash can too
There's a parking lot where you turn in. Just follow the GPS. The parking lot is very small tho, so get there early. The beach is a very short walk. Not far at all
Hello Holly. Yes, I saw the park's "hours of operation" that you were referring to (I assume from your Google search results). I just called the St. Louis County information hotline at (314) 615-5000 and spoke with a representative. She confirmed that the hours posted on Google are incorrect, and she will be escalating this to her supervisor in an attempt to have Google's information corrected. The correct hours of operation for Sherman Beach Park are from dawn until 30 minutes after sunset. I hope this information is helpful.☺🚵♀️
