This was hands down the worst bank I've ever dealt with. I was trying to get an auto loan and my loan officer Juanita Reyes is terrible at her job. There's virtually zero correspondence and every time I tried to contact her I was treated like a nuisance. The auto loan I was pre approved for had a stipulation that they would install a tracking device in my vehicle that logs every movement and can shut down the car in case of non payment....ARE YOU KIDDING ME? They treat you like a criminal. I went to UME Credit union for my loan and the difference was night and day. UME pre approved me for a higher amount ( Gain only approved me for 10k and expected me to find a 2018 or newer car for that price lol) and UME had no tracking device or year specifications. Gain does not care about you and their employees are simply not good at their jobs. Juanita Reyes especially needs to be removed. It feels adversarial just asking her simple questions. If you're thinking about Gain just go to UME instead.

The worst experience with Credit Union in Burbank. I deposited a check on Saturday via ATM since the bank was closed and the money was released ti me right away. On Monday, I noticed that they deduct the check amount from my savings account without any advance notice, phone call or email. I contacted the bank and explained the situation, I was transferred to Katharine. She explained that check was written on my name and someone else’s name and since that person doesn’t have an account with them, they can’t release the money ( which was already released on Saturday). What they did was to put a hold on my savings account for the amount of the check. I told her that they have to inform me before any activity on my account. She said that they will send out a letter. Letter? That will take at least a week, why not sending an email or a phone call to inform your client of any activity on her account without her permission. Katherine told me I can put the money back to the saving and make the checking account negative if that will make you feel better. Really? Thats how you handle the situation and thats your customer service. If a bank released the money to a customer and they think that was an accident or mistake, they are responsible to let the customer know of the situation before accessing his/her account and doing what they believe is right to do. This is not the end, now they transferred money from saving to checking and took $15 withdrawal/returned item fee for their mistake. What kind of bank is this! If the check was deposited by mistake, who is responsible for it, you as a BANK or your CUSTOMER? Another incident was with my beneficiary, I sent them the forms and I find out that they didn’t make the changes to the beneficiaries on my account. I had to fill out the form, take it to bank in person to make sure it is taken care of. The first thing I am going to do is to close my account from the most unprofessional bank with poor customer service. I regret for closing my both accounts from an experienced and professional banks that I was with them for a long time to deal with inexperienced and inefficient Credit Union in Burbank.

I have never had a financial institution turn down getting a large deposit but this one could have cared less I was depositing 200k into their CU. I applied for membership and my membership was turned down over (7) inquiries on a chex system report. I have never bounced a check in my life and my report is clean. I explained to the VP of Service, Maria the reason for the inquiries, she did not care, was dismissive, and said she was not the least bit interested into making an exception on my membership even though I was going to deposit 200k. She didn’t believe what I was telling her so in essence she was calling me a liar. Do you want your money deposited with an institution that does not believe what you are stating to them? A financial relationship is two sided, but this credit union does not think that way, obviously. Choose Navy Federal, who does not use chex systems, or BBVA. Most importantly you want a financial institution that will roll out the red carpet when you are laying down some serious cash. Gain will say, hit the high road baby we don't want or need your money as they did this to me. Believe me, you should hit the high road. Every article on the internet states the more money you have with a financial institution the better you will be treated, maybe Gain didn't get that message.

They do have 24/7 ATMs, and there's another located in the 24/7 lobby at the Burbank police department (200 N 3rd St.) In case you want a safer place to access their full ATM services at night.
