Worth the drive! The mill and grounds are beautifully kept. Our guide turned the machinery on for us to see how it works and is very knowledgeable about it’s history. Website states only 4 visitors at a time for 10 minutes. We were the only people there so she let us look as long as we wanted. We went at 10 AM. Sun was in perfect place for pictures. They have picnic tables, bbq grills, benches and vault toilets. Great place to have a family picnic. No swimming or wading allowed in the water. Thank you Missouri for preserving this historic place.

What a wonderful spot way off the beaten track. Set in a a quiet hollow on the Huzzah, this old mill is picture perfect! Nice explanations about the workings of the mill and local history. Great picnic spots in the shade above the creek and a spring branch. One of bv the nicest Missouri State Parks we have visited. Highly recommended!!

No, nothing on website about camping at this location. Also after visiting today I can tell you the only parking area closes at 5pm. It did look like there may have been a private campground just before you enter the park.
Free to visit but they do not allow swimming.
