Nice state park & campground right on the confluence of the Appalachian Trail and the Long Trail. HIking for all levels around the part and boating (non-motor, i think) in Kent Pond right across road. We didn't know about, but there are Mt Bike trails in the park as well. Seems like they are for all levels. We were warned when we visited (July 2022) that bears visit the park every day and to keep all food and anything scented locked in our car. We were pretty vigilant about it. There might have been bear tracks around our campsite after the first night, but other than that, we did not see any bears.

It's a beautiful place with access to a pond, hiking trails and camping. Beautiful views of the Green Mountains all over the area!

We had one of the most peaceful camping experiences at Gifford Woods. Plenty of things to do close by

I think the office was open until 8. If you call and tell them you will be late I'm sure you can set up and check in in the morning. They are very friendly and helpful there. It's a great place and several hikes leave from the campground.
