Once again walking through the Sawdust Festival sawdust makes me grateful that I survived another year... in order to return. Every year the various artists present new fresh items. The prices are very reasonable - if something costs too much then you really don't need it. Wonderful ambience, plenty of food and refreshments, and live music. Restrooms are always within a baseball throw. City trams are frequent with pick up/drop off at the entrance. Cost of the trams is Free-90-Free. Additionally, your ticket purchase is valid for reentry the entire summer. Compare spending an afternoon here versus Disneyland.

I haven't been here in a few decades and decided it was time to go with my wife who has never been. We had a bite to eat at the food area while listening to a very good band. Let me just say if your looking for something cheap...it's not here. These vendors are very talented in what they do and they charge accordingly. As far as I'm concerned you are buying art maybe even one of a kind masterpieces. You really have to go here and check it out to see what's available... you might just find the perfect thing you can't live without.

I’m sure there are plenty of reviews for Sawdust festival in Laguna during the summer. Which is great. I love to stroll during the summer, but this review will focus on the special Winter/Christmas Edition of the Sawdust Art Festival . If you’re looking to support Small Business this Holiday Season, Art Festival is a Colletive of Local Artisans who hand make and sell all of their creations. You’ll find plenty of great hand made, made locally, made in California, made in America Christmas gifts here. #SupportSmallBusiness

Also, if you are military active or retired, you and up to 3 guests can get in free, with proof of service.
10am to 10pm daily. 10am to 6pm on the 4th of July.
Does a bear eat berries? People go for those rings ;)
R u serious? No beaded handcrafted jewelry? I guess materials just have to be glued on? Is this really a rule? Reasoning ? I repurpose old jewelry, & would like to share space. If u can hace beads.
Hi Lori, one must have a creative aptitude, love woodchips and contact the via the website below: https://sawdustartfestival.org/contact-us/
No, service dogs only. It is posted at the entrance and on the website.
Yes you can walk and there are shuttles.
Sure you can contact one of the many glass artist and enroll in a class
The first day it opened was June 29 & will go until end of August
Sunday. Sept 3
City parking lots are available nearby. There is no parking at the festival itself, or is super limited.
I believe veterans are still free.
You should give yourself at least a few hours to cruise through and you will still not really "see" all of it. They have quite a few interactive activities and live music along with a good variety of food and beverage throughout the day. Planning around an arts or crafts activity with one of the artists is my suggestion to friends wanting to visit. If you visit the Sawdust website they have a calendar of what activities are happening and when.
No, but wheelchair accessibility is there; however challenging due to being outside in dirt n sawdust
I'm pretty sure there are no free days for locals at least this season. However, I would strongly recommend their passport which gets you into all three of the art festivals for the entire season! I've already used it a few times, as there is so many artists to chat with and before or five bandstands constantly have different acts. Another words, with the passport you can easily spend the whole day there just enjoying everything for free! And it's well worth it. However I've already bought a few are pieces and had a couple of meals so I guess I'm helping out a little bit.
Unfortunately, they only allow Service Dogs & we're just so happy, grateful, & excited enough we're able to do that to our baby rottie!! She had a blast when we brought her w/ us on their 2nd opening day, Sat around 7pm, which was jz abt right time! Not much people in line yet getting their tickets, we got our annual passes online already! Come check it our you guys!! You'll have a great time w/ arts, crafts, music, & food!! Stay safe & best of care ❤
The turquoise vendor?? He's there
Weekdays definitely have the crowd arriving later in the day, as many people will go through this venue before the pageant of the Masters which begins after dusk.
yes, that is Sathya Burchman! http://www.sathyaburchmanart.com/SathyaBurchmanArt.com/Gallery.html
According to their website, they plan to open in July 2020. https://sawdustartfestival.org
Yes and no. There are drop off points and plenty of area for wheelchairs. The crowd might be a different story though because there is a lot of foot traffic and maneuvering through that with the entire area covered in wood chips may be difficult. Overall, I wouldn't recommend wheelchairs but they are there for those bold enough to try
Check the website or call the office. There should be a list both places.
The artists should still be on their website.
It closed sept.2
Call sawdust festival. 9494943030
He still there, I have seen him few weeks ago
There is street parking at metered spaces, there are public lots throughout Laguna, three of which are close to the festival, there are also private parking lots. You'll probably pay 10 to $15 search for the public lots. The private lots may cost more. I think the meters are 250 per hour but they may be more. If you get a passport for the three festivals for the whole festival season that comes with the free parking ticket for the act 5 parking lot on Laguna Canyon Road.
Feathers have been there for many years. Hopefully, she will be exhibiting Summer of 2019! I love her nightgowns and all of her handmade clothing. She is a very talented Maker! Hope to see you there!
I don't use buses but I'll bet there's a train. Check amtrack
Too late for this year. You'll need to contact the Sawdust folks directly for that. Info on website.
It's already passed. Friends and family usually is first Fri, the artists is first Thursday. Both events are per special invitations.
Everything at Sawdust has to be handmade...and all the artist are required to live in Laguna Beach. Nothing sold that has been manufactured.
Shuttle in the summer, bus run this area all the time
No Thanksgiving weekend including Black Friday and 4 weekends in December ENJOY
Not really sure. Someone at ibfo booth will be happy to provide historical information. I knew about in the late 70's my first visit was in the late 80's
