Went on a Wednesday evening. Had a fine time. Nothing really extraordinary, but also nothing horrible. Good benches for shooting, fairly clean, did not feel unsafe at any time. Outdoor ranges in California are still moderated heavily, but are a lot better than indoor ones. Bring a cooler with food and drinks. If you plan to stay all day in on warm days, bring a sweatshirt just in case because it gets cool at times.

This is my favorite range to go to that's near LA. The people working here have been friendly to me every time I have gone. As long as you aren't being stupid, you won't be harassed or have someone looking over your shoulder the whole time. The steel targets are very satisfying to shoot at and you can put up your own targets too. I always come here if I need to zero.

Nice range to shoot at. Generally busy on the weekends. Range workers are very safe adn usually on it. SOme of the people who come here like any range can be kinda dangerous so make sure to keep your eye out. More than once Ive seen people swinging guns around but the Range Workers usally give them a warning. Range house has lots of ammo, targets, hearing and eye protection No guns rented here, you have to bring your own. Parking is Ample. To the left you have rifles, to the right you have a pistol range, rifles, and shotgun clays. Great place to shoot.

Angeles is an excellent range with a great staff of people. I always enjoy my time shooting there whether I am shooting handgun or rifle. They have an excellent rife range that you can shoot out to 600 yards.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Their primary rifle range goes out to 600 yards, they have a smaller rifle range that people shoot handguns at that goes out to 100 yards.
Yes it is back in operation.
Yes they also have an aurgun range. Ive shot my Benjamin Marauders. 25 there in the past. But do know that the minimum distance you can set up target is 50 yards.
Yes you can
Yes you can bring your ammo ,
Yes, at ASR itself there are some clay throwing machines. Also on the same premesis is Moore and Moore's shooting Clays which is shotgun only with a full trap course.
Yes only if you can understand English or bring someone who will not leave your side that speaks English
Old enough to do it safely. ie follow instructions and hold the firearm.
Thursdays are discounted. I believe it is a $10 range fee
The youngest kid I've seen there was about 12 or 13 with his pops
yes, I've been doing it for a while now. but no steel projectiles or casings allowed. Target ammo only, when in doubt call and ask. staff is nice and friendly.
Yes, you can bring your own ammunition, but it cannot be steel ammo. Steel core, steel jacketed or even bimetallic ammunition is prohibited.
I believe everything is legal to practice as long as is California legal gun. Lots of people go with all kinda small to big weapons
Absolutely.
I dont think so. But no 100% sure
n
Absolutely as long as it's not out on the firing line yes
Not aware of any rules on that. BUT currently they are only legal to use with featureless rifles, even if you bought them during that period a few weeks ago.
Yes. Drivers License, ID card or even a passport should work at most ranges. They need this so they are legally protected and can verify you're an adult.
By concrete left lane I assume you mean the area directly to the right of the main building with concrete barriers at the sides? That is the handgun range. The 10/22 rifle is fine there. For the others you will need to move to the right 100yd range, or the long range portion to the left of the main building. Hope that helps!

Yes there are steel targets to shoot starting from 200 all the way up to 600 yards in various sizes and shapes.
Rain or shine its open, you can set up your own targets, including steel at 100yd rifle, but its more convenient to use their targets/+200 steel if you don't have your own stuff.
If you have the aim. Range steel targets start at 100 yards & goes up to 700 yards on left side of range.
Last time I shot clay, it was $20 deposit for the card and $0.16 per clay
You have to bring your own guns, the LA gun club in down town LA has good prices on gun rentals ,its an indoor shooting range .
No. You can not rent firearms there. You have to bring your own firearm. You can buy ammunition there.
Its on their website. No steel penetrators such as M855 5.56mm.
No, there are steal targets that range from 10 yards to 600 yards. Also, you can use paper targets up to 100 yards. It's a nice clean range and if people just put anything out to shoot, then it starts to look like a land fill.
No, but your can purchase inexpensive ear plugs and safety glasses from their office.
They have them there you pay $5 but if you bring it back you get $4 for it
I love this place really!!
You can bring any gun, CA compliant or not. The job of the range officers is not to enforce the law. They do not rent any guns.
Yes...go wed. After 4pm $7...or Thursday $7 all day. Bring ur ammo...no gun rental, if your new, ask a line ranger to explain the rules. Don't be THAT guy who gets yelled at for not listening. Get ear eye protection
The Senior Discount is only available on Tuesdays. But if you give us your email address on the release form, I will send you a 3.00 coupon to use on non discount weekdays.
Yes, opened on 15th of January. Nothing but the office seems to have been damaged. The new office is in the BBQ area between the two parking lots. One thing to note though is that the bathrooms are gone... Porta potties is what we get.
They do not allow steel case ammo. They check with a magnet. I have had no problems with the blazer brand
Weekends are the busiest. Thursdays can get crowded too due to range cost being half off. On weekends the range srarts to get less busy after 1:30pm. They call the last cease fire at 4:30pm.
Yes or prone as well.
No wait time. Every 15 minutes.
600 yards

If it's legal in California you can shoot it there
You must come with someone who already owns firearms, as they do not offer rentals. You may buy ammunition and paper targets there, but it would be wise to be prepared before hand and bring your own. It is open to the public.
Yes for a small fee, no, and no but there are sitting benches.
