They usually open on weekends but only if they have enough life guards available. They didn't open on the 4th due to this so you'd be great calling in the mornings to check.

Yes and it is worth it you just have to get there at a reasonable time so you can get in the water park section of the park its 10$ for parking and 17$ I believe for the water park section with the max sale of 300 people for the day. I know just kept going on, but I hope you found this helpful.

They always open in May the week of Memorial Day weekend Friday Saturday and Sunday

Very limited shelters .. HOWEVER the shelters they do provide have WATER MISTERS to try and cool you down.. These shelters are usually FULL - MEANING crowded!
