After long time, I went to Newport Beach pier. Feels great. Quite busy in the afternoon and you have to have luck to get the parking near to pier. Try to park your car little far from pier and walk to the pier. Always feels great roaming around Newport Beach Pier.

The best pier and surrounding area in all of orange county. The vibe is mellow. People having fun until 3am. No drama. No fights (99% of the time) 24 hr bathroom and donut shop. Good bars and food everywhere. #1 park and chill spot

After so many years that i have not been at this beach, due to me moving to the bay where the bay waters are all yr round cold, i finally felt at home. the water was amazing the temperature was great the clear waters, those beautiful waves, and the smell of beach was so beautiful. To pay the parking space for 3 hrs was enough and a great price 10.00 and u can pay with card, i thought it was still coin machine lol. My toddler who has never been at the beach was amazed for one it was his first time secondly the water was perfect. Due to our privacy i am limited on the pictures so please enjoy just this one. Trust me this is a great place to visit
whoa buddy
Live locally so I'm pretty familiar with area. But it never gets old walking around and enjoy the vibe. My little boy loves playing at lighthouse Park and then we usually just stroll up towards the pier area. There's a lot of local restaurants , some tattoo shops and surf shops mixed in . Parking is what it is at the beach if you're looking for tips and tricks to avoid the crowds I don't have any .

yes everything is open bring mask for shops n restaurants.
In the summer, especially on weekends, it can be very difficult to find an open space. Go very early and you can grab a spot in the public lot, right by the pier.
Yes, open dining on most restaurants and limited access to some shops

I don't fish, but I have seen a lot of people fishing here. It's supposed to be good to fish early in the morning. A good time to fish is when the tide is coming in. The tide draws the fish to the land. When there were lots of local fishing ports a hundred years ago, people would get up before dawn, and be on the ocean fishing at first light. A lot of our old customs have been lost. People forget how it used to be before we Got all our seafood at the supermarket.
Not really. Finding free parking in that area in rare. Even paid parking is difficult to find in the area. Typically residential streets is where you'll find free parking
After 6 PM certain spots are free
Three things: If the water is unsafe there would be signs on the beach telling you. But check the city website which is extensive, initiative and up to date. Always check with lifeguards about prevailing conditions. There is a lifeguard station at the base of the pier.
There might be a bait shop nearby but I don't think so on the Pier.
It is frowned upon. However, as long as you are discreet and not acting like a fool they will look the other way.
The pier doesn't but some surrounding shops may. Don't forget Balboa pier a mile away with the sportfishing landing, Davy's Locker?, at the Pavilion. Look in here: https://southerncaliforniabeaches.org/OrangeCounty/NewportPier.php
GRUPO NORTEÑO..MUY ECONOMICO
Well that depends on what you want to do .... For your car security .. Yes they do .... For having a good time on your car ... It's safe ...believe me
You have to pay for parking at the lots and at the meters. But after 6pm the meters are free to park at. 😉
I see people bringing their pets all the time! :-D don't worry friend!
