You need license to fishing in the Pier
Yes and we saw they were catching mackerel. Seals came to. I think they brought there own bait in coolers. It was awesome to just watch. We were in California last weekend. We do a lot of fishing here in Colorado all year round. Granby, Co.has ice fishing tournaments in January. You can rent a cabin. I'll think you can rent fishing poles I seen them hooked up ready to go but no one using them. But I didn't ask to see
No you can't rent poles, but there are a lot of regulars that fish off the pier. It is a great pier for fishing, taking a walk, ect.
The pier in Newport Beach is more trendy less fishy...
