I had a horrible experience with Ryan Glaheen. He was rude and condescending in his tone. Has very poor customer service skills. Didn’t bother to intrude himself or explain the membership trial process. I already had a guest pass I completed online. When he came over to us and didn’t bother to explain who he was and what we are going to talk about. He was asking me creepy questions like “do you live alone?”. “Where do you work, live?”. Why would that be relevant question for a gym trial. Either though I live 10 min from this gym would rather drive 25 to fitness 19. Great experience and customer service there.

*EDIT* May 2022 It pains me to have to update on a negative note as there have been recent activities that have led me to to quit LA Fitness. I must be clear... this has NOTHING to do with the personal training that I have received for nearly a year, my trainer has been phenomenal! This is from the broken and inept system LA Fitness has for their payments and their customer service. Long story short- BEWARE of any long term membership and training contracts with auto billing. I had to cancel my credit card on file for my membership billing and after 7 attempts in person to pay on a different card (their credit machines weren't working multiple times) and one of the visits put $800 my credit cards (they had me keep swiping even tried 2 different cards). After a week and several calls to my banks I finally got it all cleared up, meanwhile a staff member from a different location called nearly daily trying to collect and was extremely unprofessional. If you're confused reading this, so was I experiencing it! Their staff promised several times management would call to assist me with what was going on and I mentioned after all this I want to cancel my membership as I'm exhausted from all of it (and embarrased after being barred from the facility and my training sessions). No one ever called to help and all other staff I spoke with played dumb and suddenly nobody was able to help me cancel or they would explain that nobody wants to help me because they don't want anyone cancelling. So they think making someone upset because they can't cancel with will make them happy and not cancel? I know I'm only one person but please reconsider signing any contracts or committing with LA Fitness long term. This LA Fitness is one of the better locations as they have clean equipment, equipment is tidy and put away often and the staff is friendly. If you're looking for a personal trainer or not sure if it's worth it, go see Devin he is phenomenal! He's very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and his passion for training gets me motivated every time! Since working with Devin I have seen tons of personal gains and I will stick with him at this location as long as he's there 🙌🏼

I have been a member for a little over 6 months. Today, my friends and I had a terrible experience with Ryan Glasheen, who claims to be the general manager for this location. That would be even more disappointing considering how unprofessional he is. He was upset that my friend did not sign up for a membership after her 1st day there and refused to honor her 3 day guest pass. The guest pass fine print clearly states that is is "Reedemable by non-members only" (see picture) and yet he still refused to honor it, since my friend went as my guest 1 time and did not sign up. Ryan said that he is the manager and he makes the decision of activating the pass or not. We asked him to show us where on the pass or the website it says that someone could not use the pass due to being a member's guest one time, and he said it is not something we can find on the pass because it is up to his discretion to let us use the pass. This not only extremely unprofessional, but it is also false advertisement. Instead of honoring the guest pass, he lost a potential customer and a current customer. I will never join an LA fitness agin.

Clean well run gym. Plenty of equipment and great classes. Everyone is very friendly and outgoing! I joined this gym to get healthy and prepare for a full knee replacement. My Personal Trainer, Devin Sharp, is absolutely wonderful. He is always very conscientious of any limitations I have with my knee but constantly pushes me to become stronger. He truly cares about helping people get fit. I highly recommend Devin no matter your age or fitness level! You won't be sorry!

The El Norte LA Fitness is closed for remodeling. They are sending people to the Twin Oaks gym.
