The bsa has lost it's way and Meriwether is reflecting this. The places for the kids are in need of repair and basic maintenance. But there are brand new staff accomodations and in the middle of everything not out of the way preserving the camping experience

This is my third Scout BSA camp and the very best one so far. The facilities and the staff (ESPECIALLY the staff) are most excellent and helping the scouts succeed. They're all set up for the females and always talking about improving as well. The property is stunning and ideal for a camp with lake, beach, tide pools and lots of space!

Every troop should spend at least one summer here the staff, the program, the facilities and the views are top of the line.

Nice view of the ocean. Enriching activities for Boy scouts. The program is well run and a very positive experience.

Cellular service is available immediately west of the dining hall flagpoles, and along the beach. It is my understanding of Oregon law that beach access is open to the public, even though the camp is private property. That said, it is always good to let camp staff know if you are crossing camp property, as they bear some responsibility for anyone there.
This is privately owned and need to be a BSA member. There is no public access and you must contact cascade Pacific council to book your camp spot for troop reservation.
