How can you have toxic chemicals released from less than 2 miles away and toxic liquid released into the stream running through the camp and it still be safe? I would like to know because it looks like a nice place. But what you can't see can hurt you.

My son 12 yrs old started with winter camp and absolutely loved it. The next summer he went to the sleep a way for 20 days and absolutely loved it. He has new great friends and feel a sense of belonging. He had so much fun. You can tell they work on social skills in a playful way and in a fun way so the kids are actually learning to love the different and have a new way of looking at life. We are recommending this camp to everyone. The experience of enrollment and communication has been top of the line. Thank you Camp Alonim for helping my kid.

I just picked up service men and women. I love the ambiance. Nice place to visit to teach your kids about.

I bring my granddaughter here every year for sleep away camp. She loves it and always comes home with a smile that won't quit for weeks. She starts the school year on a positive outlook.

Thank you for reaching out. American Jewish University remains confident that our Brandeis-Bardin Campus is safe. We continue to be in touch with relevant authorities and experts, including the California Environmental Protection Agency Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), which in May 2017 concluded that: “The Brandeis-Bardin Institute Campus is safe for use by Faculty, Staff, Students, and Campers. Contamination at the Santa Susana Field Laboratory (SSFL) does not pose a health threat to users (e.g., campers, visitors, students, faculty, administrators or staff) of Brandeis-Bardin Institute, or other off-site areas.” As part of our ongoing commitment to safety and transparency, comprehensive information about the safety of the property is available on our website (www.aju.edu/bbcsafety). Please let us know if we can answer any questions.
