Best DMV ever!! I just moved to the area and I had to apply for DL/Real ID and had to register the cat. The people that work here are absolutely nice, polite, helpful, friendly. I moved a few times in different States and this place is the best one I have experienced. The building is nice. Very efficient. Nice people make the a huge difference!

Service is fast and easy I liked that but examiner officers has bad attitude, very strict that my children each of them got nervous and failed very little things and same girl 2 time took the test and was very naive ..... not nice. My children driving with me very professional with rules and 10 hours drive with driver school. Don't know why they are doing this or that much strict look .....

Great experience, my daughter just took her driving test here. Very organized, and clean, with no long lines and the security guard was very nice and helpful. It wasn't overcrowded and the experience was very in and out. We live in Tarzana but this DMV is worth the little drive.

how long is the current wait without an appt to renew your drivers license.
Need to make appointment to renew my drivers license which will expire July 24, 1944
5 bucks
it's the same number. I moved back last summer and had to do the same thing and I realized it was the same number from the ID that I had from over 16 years ago when I left California
This is like asking how many cars are on the freeway...? It just depends on how many people show up. Anyway the typical wait time can vary from half an hour to 3 or 4 hours, or sometimes even more... in which case, I would probably rather just hang myself in their doorway.
At this time, no. They are trying to catch up with the canceled appointments. It's so fast to go online, enter all the information if you do not need to go in. If you need to be in person for new photo or for Real ID, go online, upload all documents such as passport or birth certificate, utility bills etc. Then get the confirmation code so you go go Express line at the DMV with no appointment, get physical documents checked then straight inside, almost 5 minutes wait time.
I was in there for maybe 30 minutes last time I went the other days it was virtually no way
Hello, here is the info from the CA. DMV. The basic Noncommercial Class C knowledge driver license (DL) tests are available in the following languages: Amharic, Arabic, Armenian, Cambodian/Khmer, Chinese/Cantonese, Croatian, English, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hmong, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Persian/Farsi, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Spanish, Tagalog/Filipino, Thai, Tongan, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
No. You have to go to an office to apply. However you can complete the application online before coming to an office. I'd suggest making an appointment at www.dmv.ca.gov
Go to dmv.ca.gov and print out the form reg 227 complete sections 1-3. Make an appointment and go to dmv with photo ID and 21 dollars (debit cash or check)
Yes
Yes they do
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the time went today at the Simi Valley DMV. I was in and out less than 20 minutes.
Depends on how many people are in line.
20 minutes
Make sure you take your birth certificate or passport and 2 to 3 pieces of mail from your home.
There are inspection shops just Google it most body shops can inspect your vehicle after it'd been repaired for breaks signals lights
You can renew it online. If you must go in person you can upload all your documents without an appointment and that will give you a number that will speed up your wait time in line to renew the same day. I hope that helps.
There's a long line for no appointment or walk-in.
8 am every day except sat N sun
You go to the DMV website but you know you can just walk in without making an appointment
No only if they have a valid driver's license and is over 18
No but the wait will be long so do it online if possible or if you have AAA do it there.
I did everything online for thr real id so you get to go in the short line. I was done in less than 1 hr and got there when they opened.
They say 20 minutes... but my daughter went once to do the renewal of hers. Needed the eye doctor certificate, came back twice just to drop that off so they could mail her the license. First attempt... after hours in line they closed. She arrived at 2:30. Second attempt she arrived at 3... finally she was able to give them the certificate and now waiting for it to arrive in the mail. Long hours in line waiting the 3 times she went there.
No. You can walk in.
Go to the DMV website and it will explain what you need in order to get the Real ID, it will save time because next year it will be mandatory to have it. You can combine the drivers license with the Real ID
The day before my renewal I was told to come at 3:00pm the following day to renew my drivers license. I would assume you want to get there before 4:30pm. I'm not 100% sure.
I did not check.
If you get there before 2pm you can usually get in, depending on how crowded it is.
No, by appointment only.
Yes
I got my passport renewal form at the Post Office located on Sherman way and the for 405
Yes it is
I'm pretty sure you can,but be there before they open because if you dont, you'll be waiting for several hrs
Most likely I would check with your local DMV
Yes i think so. just be patient i Went yesterday for my car stickers and it was very good service
I wasn't able to make one online, the man that worked there asked if anyone had appointments though. I went at 3:30pm and was only there about 35 min. It helped that I had filled an application online for what I was doing.
Simi Valley is not open, they only 25 DMV open in California
This station is not open
No clue
Tapo Canyon Road
No, it's a buyer beware market You will have to pay all fees and need a smog, you can pay as much as you an weekly, biweekly monthly but wont be fully registered or get tags until you pay the entire balance
Typically, they are fast but sometimes DMV takes 5 - 8 weeks. If it's just a renewal, it shouldn't take longer.
No, I went alone with my kid.
Ofcourse you can take it, all you need to do is, to get your number when you walk in, they will call your number and then you request a written test. Hopefully you passed first time. Good luck Jennifer.
8-5 pm today 12/31
Yes
They will be closed according to their website. Most County and State tend to be closed on the day after Thanksgiving.
Yes but nowadays it is very busy. You might have to stand in line if u don't have an appointment to get to the person who is going to route u to the correct window. The lines start at 6:30 AM in the morning just to make u aware.
Has the check cleared your bank yet?
Sycamore
Yes
Yes, you could always walk in with no appointment, the wait is just a little longer
Yes, just prepare for a longer wait, certain dmv are also open saturdays
Usually you get a renewal notice two months prior to your birthday, but you can renew it a couple of months before you just have to take the written test
No. No Government agency is ever open on weekends.
Did you pay online, over the phone? Did you pay at an office. You possibly either needed a smog or insurance. Need more information to answer that question
Legal presence document your social security card and 1 utility bill and your fees
You have to know how to drive
3hrs
You can't just cancel your opponent. This is illegal. It's called murder. Unless maybe you call them and cancel them first. Now, if you mean cancel your Appointment... that's a different story. You can do this online or on the phone - if you have 2 hours to wait on hold.
No. But there is one of those machines at the Vons on the corner of Cochran and Erringer in Simi.
No. Skip a meal.
no you don’t, you can register the car but until you bring the smog check they’ll give you the sticker
Most likely but try calling the DMV before you go. Cash is always accepted.
