I never knew this beautiful & peaceful park ever existed, but I'm so glad to discover it. Not only is the park nice but the biggest plus to the discovery is the Train Museum Depot next to it. Curt, the docent at the museum is very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable about the whole history. It's very interesting to know how they did the things before in order to have everything done, without the technology we're having now. I strongly recommend this place to everybody. Believe me, what I've seen and learned about the train depot before, makes me realize how lucky we are now to enjoy what we have.

Beautiful, peaceful, and a nice play area for the kids. I completely forgot the photos, but I did snap one and it was a welcoming entrance. Would definitely live to stop by again . Spacious, the eating area is pretty big. If I had to paint a mental image, think of it as the high school cafeteria tables. There is also another section under a few trees with bbq grills ready to go if you didn't bring one. It has the basketball area selerated across the street. A nice vibe and beautiful scene. The train does pass from time to time nearby, so it can be noisy. Just thought I'd include that. Check it out for yourself.

This is a gorgeous setting. There are lots of old growth trees like pines and oaks that provide ample shade. There is a great playground for kids to play on. The park also has giant boulders that are great to climb on with lots of fun spaces to hide in. As well, there are restrooms that were clean when I visited the park. The park is next to railroad tracks which is fun to see trains pass by. The park also has a museum attached to it that has many historical facts and time period pieces inside. The museum also has a scale model of the surrounding area which is fun to observe. This really is a great place for families to visit.
