Helped me so much on getting healthier and had a great group that helped me get 100 per cent disability. Great staff and services.

Great staff and counselors. The events run by this center were so influential, I was able to get back out in world abd not isolate so much. Those that deal with the issues that bring about the isolation, lack of desire to do anything and either pondering the past or fretting over the future, rather than being "present" in the moment know what I mean. You can't put a price on feeling halfway normal again, but I know I will be doing all I can with the center to keep moving in a positive direction rather than back down the rabbit's hole.

Awesome counselors and great VSO's (Veteran Service Officers). They have a great resource list for the other services in the community to help out in areas outside counseling and disability benefits.

Good for learning new hobbies. Some classes may fill up, so space may be tight. Overall, you always cam learn.

To clarify on Mr. Wright's comment - the facility on Mirabeau is a only a counseling center for veterans and a VFW location. For any physical health care issues, veterans will need to go to the downtown VA hospital on Assembly.

Does the Center issue Veterans Cards or assist in getting one? I got no help at the VA Hospital and was unsuccessful using the Seattle VA web site.

Matt is correct. However, you can actually take your DD214 in to the DMV and they can put "Veteran" right on your driver's license.

Do you have an address that my students could write Christmas or holiday letters to Veterans who are in the hospital? Thank you!

You might have to check with the VA office on that, the vet center on Mirabeau is not a hospital or connected to one.
