After ordering an expensive item from the Amazon website, I became very nervous when I found out it was being shipped through the USPS. The date the delivery was supposed to take place, it never came. I was not notified, no note in the mailbox nothing. I looked again and on Amazon it said it was being held at my request at the post office. I called the USPS and it gave me 2 different locations that my package is at. Bring the weekend and after hours I couldn't do anything until Monday anyhow at that point. It was scary to know that 700 dollars can be lost so easily. So on Monday, I get notified that I have requested a rescheduled delivery and it should be arriving that day but I was told it was being held at my request right before that. Again, never came, so I was on my way to the post office when I received a notification that my package was delivered. I rushed back home to find it not there anywhere at all. I was very upset with the run around and at that point now the post office closed so had to wait another day. I got a note in the mailbox the following day saying that I had a missed delivery 1st attempt with an address to pick it up at so of course I went. It was a long line when I got there but the customer service I received was absolutely phenomenal and made up for everything that went wrong, especially when the man hand me my $700 package that I thought was lost in the mail and delivered somewhere else! So the post office itself five stars all the way, but the USPS in general maybe not so much.

*Update. I went down to the post office waited in line. Told them what happened they promised the carrier would deliver my package by end of day. I said for real this time? They promised yes. I waited..and waited... finally I double checked tracking and guess what, it now said delivery attemp no one home, again! but the time was changed to after I went down there. The carrier snuck to my door did not knock or ring the bell and just left another pink slip saying final notice. This was after his supervisor told him I was home waiting and to redeliver it. Pure unprofessionalism. Both my son and I were home. No TV on in a quiet house. Waiting listening for the door. I am not the only resident experiecing this. Can't get ahold of anyone. Mail man lied and said I was not home. I was pulling weeds in my front yard. My package was already 2 days late this is my only day off! Automated system is impossible and extremely annoying. Thanks for nothing usps so happy I paid an extra $30 for delivery and you make customer service a low priority. Also not the first time.

Horrible mail carrier service. The mail carrier constantly puts our mail in the wrong box and has been doing this for years, have tried to correct this many times but no success. Try to avoid using usps as much as I possibly can.

This is a very busy post office especially during peak times or before holidays. But the employees always do their best to process each case efficiently and possibly as fast as they could.
