Cant really share much about the experience other than It was very hard to find parking as I waited for the person I was helping out outside in my van. So I pretty much drove around the area for a while until she came out. It took about an hour which is not bad for a trip to a county building.

I applied for General Relief on Feb 1st, 2021 and my application was automatically denied because of their 277 day limit codes and was told to reapply on Feb 6th, 2021 which was inconvenient being that they could have just waited to process my Feb 1st, 2021 on Feb 6th, 2021. Usually after applying for GR a worker will call right away for interview then they have up To 30 days to approve the application. My worker did not call me until Feb 24th, 2021 in the late afternoon. The worker from my denied Feb 1st, 2021 application called me Feb 2nd, 2021. During my Feb 24th, 2021 interviews the worker pulled up Some random accounts he found under my social security number which are not bank accounts that I have no knowledge of and made it required that I show proof of ownership. He wants me to go on a wild goose chase to search for accounts that I do not own and show proof of accounts before they approve and release GR to me. I went down to their office and requested an affidavit to state that I have no accounts with the agencies in question. I turned in the affidavit and still haven’t received anything and cannot get a hold of the workers on my case and they have no voicemail to leave messages. I do not recommend applying for benefits online with this office. Send your online application to the Civic Center location because they are more personable and process GR applications quickly. If I do not receive my GR within the next 72 hours I will appeal then reapply to a different office.

For CalFresh (foodstamps) only you don't need to have an ID or sscard, you just need to know the number.
You can alply at ybn (your benefits now ) or on the dpss app online or you can go to the nearest district office and apoly in person from 8 to 5 mon - fri make sure to take bank statements, ID, social rent receipts utiliry statements in order to have case processed faster
