You will never get thru to speak to someone unless you have an hour or more to spend on the phone waiting. Just typical and terrible government service.
April Rains
telephone wait time is excessive...then you get cut off. people are nice but staffing is inadequate to assist consumers in timely manner. Everyone should write to LA COunty Supervisor to complaint that more money should be allocated to hire staff.
Victoria Renroh
How is it that I am on hold for nearly 2 hours now.. That is horrendous. I'm still on hold as i type and its only to follow up on a application made 1 month ago. what is happening over there? perhaps the organisation needs to hire more staff, shameful.
Maria Aguilar
I have been trying to communicate with this office (IHSS) for two days, I am not kidding. They let me waiting for more than an hour and then get disconnected. Unbelievable, I do not know where to call to complain about this. It is ridiculous !!!

Find an agency in the area and called them and ask for one, and then talk to the receptionist and let them know what your needs are and they will direct you from there.
You can't work or claim anymore than 70% of your hours for one client per pay period (2 weeks/bi weekly). So, 70% for the first client and 70% for the second client bi weekly. No more than 70% per client per pay period.
You have to attend a IHSS orientation. Then you will receive paperwork in the mail telling you about your provider number
I think so but to be sure call them at the number listed here, go speak to someone in the office or check their website for more information. Good luck!
Hello Everyone, I need help, my son is 2 year's old and has AUTISM, can I get payed for takinh care of my own son? I am very busy with him during the day taking him to developmental school 4hrs 3 days out of the week. Plua 2 days out of the week speech therapy. So for that matter, I find it hard to get a job. Because everywhere I apply they have variable hours. And truly my son needs all my help & Attention
I ham having the same issue with the help line. You have to go through the help line now to reach your worker. They will send your case worker some sort of message to contact you and what it is about. Then it takes 2 to 5 business days. It has worked in the past. When I called today no one ever picked up the phone.
Did you find out u need to know also
Yes, to do that, we put a change of address in with the post office. I get all my workers mail, but included in that is the paychecks
Recent payments
$12.60 I believe per hour 2019
Gregoryslider
Send them right off if time to
Yes go to whatever branch your case is at and ask to speak to your worker or someone that can help you and then find out from there that's if your recipient if you're a provider you would need to contact the provider helpline
I never have a problem just be patient
Can someone help me with how to change providers?
Do not waste your time with giving out their #.the providers can't get thru, neither can they.either use your client or speak with your social worker to get their phone times when they answer phone or give them the apartment manager # or ???,get st smart..wish you luck.
In Los Angeles county it is $12.60 per hour. It took effect January 1st 2019. If you look at your check stub and look at hourly rate it will tell you how much you are being paid hourly.
Your IHSS worker
I'm trying to reinstate my employment with IHSS. I worked with the service back in 2013 and don't remember how to start again. Please help Mr.Ronald Fulgham.
Contact your Employer... He or she has the IRS Form
It's online
Yes you can depending on how much you make and how much cost of living you have.
You can apply online, but I recommend going to the local office of the recipients address
You can either go to the office they can give you a print out or if you have the online page where you fill out the hours, you can search up and download your pay stubs from your computer.
Log into your account click on recent payments if you click on payment search put in date then click on view payment details
Apply on the website
just follow instructions.....you will end up with a real person.
yes
I've only been here to send IHSS papers for a possible job as a provider. What are you trying to do? Usually if you're just going for recalculating I go to do that in my taxes at any place. Or go to the one in Grand. It's 2707 S Grand Ave, LA, CA, 90007. Take your Social Security and ID to verify your identity. Hope it works.
Email them calling you'll be on hold for 3 hours and showing up at the building office won't help either ihss department don't come down
Go to your nearest DPSS Department of Social Services office
Everything is over the phone right now. No appointments if you go down they will refer you to their phone number and website. (213)744-4477
Try this link they might put you on a waiting list. If its full check again every other day http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/acd/ncorona2019/vaccine/hcwsignup/
I'm sure they can offer referrals.
Call your Union rep, also call the case manager of your recipient,
Login IHSS portal, click "what's new" tab, then click the blue link next to W2, scroll to bottom of page click link (going to take you to Social Service Page). Click first link (Internal Rev. Serv.) Or go here: https://www.irs.gov/site-index-search
I'm sorry but I don't work for IHSS. I don't know why its referring people to me.
No I don't think so?
I order a new w-2 when will it come
Call Your Caseworker on Monday morning, better yet Go in person.
Ask them at the office
You can if it's part-time, but you must report it on earnings for each week. Basically, they will be dedicting per week from what you earned from inhome care.
U have to do a live scan
Yes there is
You can go to the web site and get the information
I think so
They said the system was down earlier and yesterday.
The Apollo Home Service Office does not offer health insurance. The regular office does.
You need to 1st reregister again then make you a flyer starting you are a provider and looking for a clients put your provider number at the bottom and contact info and post it everywhere. Put some flyers at Senior live housing complexes, at county buildings, at social security building and anywhere you can.
What a legacy number?
Not sure..
Go talk to your dad's doctor about the IHSS.
How can I report someone who gets paid for something that she doesn't do to her daughter even when she goes to the kitchen to cook cause they hide the fruits and food and all the things they hide everything even her mother told her that if she wants food to give her more even her mother hides everythinh
I don't understand
What if the person you work for dies during the wait for the checks do you still get paid?
Call her caseworker & tell her to assign her a new caretaker.. I'm available if you're in the Los Angeles area
If you're a recipient you need to call the office and request a provider packet or to become a provider if you are a recipient and want to apply for IHSS you need to call the application line and request an application.
You can join the registry. It's called the PASC registry
Reopens Tuesday March 26th
I'm not really sure, sorry.
What do You mean?
What office are you trying to send it to ?
Well that's not the way to start your day, but if I remember correctly when you fill out your quartly report it ask , if there has been a change of address or phone number. Myself that's what I would go with, but we all know how DPSS. works , so my best advice would be to go to your office and personally hand deliver your papers and address change. Good luck
Yes, but it depends if the hospital does not provide personal services. If the hospital will help with personal help, it will not receive payment.
No. Its optional but recommended.
IHSS is to prevent out of home care, if you can work than it may be determined that you don't qualify/ ineligible for IHSS services.
Yes you just need to go down with that person to get the ball rolling. It's on Adams and Grand. The only down side, is that you have work a full month without pay.
Contact the Case Carrying Social Worker. Those timesheet aren't valid unless they have your authorize signature so said person might be committing fraud.
I'm not sure but I had a patient with 160 a month I was working 8 hours a day
If you have not been an active Ihss provider for 1 year yes you have to do a live Scan again.
Any felony conviction involving the above mentioned offenses that also include fraud against the Govt for Medical (Tier 1). Any other (Tier 2) felonies that involve assault or sex offenses or fraud for Welfare or Food Stamp do have some exceptions/waivers allowed. Tier 1 offenses do not.
I don't believe so but call and ask them to be sure
You possibly have the wrong number
First: know your case # ? Second: There is a help line you can call that can be found online. If anything go down to your main office and speak with a Social Worker Rep, but you need to know your case number.
You can have SSI benefits and receive IHSS payments. However SSI will take money out of your benefits because you are working and you should report that you are working monthly. Including any changes in your income. You can report. You should report on the 1st of every month you have until the 6th to report your wages. You can use the SSI I app or mail it in or take your check stubs to your nearest office to report your wages.
You can work as many hours you want ... How many hours can you be paid for is up to you the recipient & his/her caseworker
Yes
Is this question directed towards applying as a provider, recipient or actual Social Worker for LA County?
The available hours that's what you currently gave to work with
About 11.00 to start
Do you mean as a Social Worker for IHSS ? or a Caregiver for a client ? It's for the latter, not sure, but contact Public Assistance Services Council (PASC), they'll definitely have that answer.
EDD ? as in the Employment Development Department ? IHSS does not complete those forms for applicants.
You don't have to, just call your Provider clerk and request a new one.
It depends on ur office cause u can only take it there
I believe you'll go to the closesest office which would be Hawthorne. As far as IHSS for your mom, it all depends on the caretaker you hire to care for your mom. It could be anyone you choose so as long as they can work i.e, undocumented, prior criminal conviction...etc, that might prevent them from being hired by your mom or you if you happen to be the Authorized Representative.
Just quit if you can’t handle it
You have to just keep calling for that, it takes forever to get a hold of someone but be persistent
U have to contact your ISS. worker to change your address directly, u can not us a change of address Card at All.
Call the office and give them your provide number. They will look it up to see if it was cashed if not they will send you another. This process could take a while. It happened to my daughter before.
Multiple as long as you don't go over a certain amount of hours a month
