Hello ..I seen all the horrible reviews and am almost afraid of pursuing IHSS for my mom. My question is : If we are in Torrance area , would I go the Los Angeles office ?

I believe you'll go to the closesest office which would be Hawthorne. As far as IHSS for your mom, it all depends on the caretaker you hire to care for your mom. It could be anyone you choose so as long as they can work i.e, undocumented, prior criminal conviction...etc, that might prevent them from being hired by your mom or you if you happen to be the Authorized Representative.
