Parking fee for the day is 6 dollars. Great place for tent and rv camping with a space to empty your septic tank and most of the camping spots are shaded. Several restrooms and showers on caping area. Convenient places for day picnic with nice views. Good spots for fishing, but there is a lot of water weed. There is also one portable restroom by the dam. Not many fishes right now or maybe we were not very lucky. Currently the water level is low so no boats or any kind of floating devices are allowed.

Beautiful and large park. Can camp here for days and never get bored with the hiking trails. Unfortunately water is too low so no kayaking allowed. I hope that changes soon.

Fantastic time out in the nature. The camping ground is very good and comfortable with near by well maintained clean washrooms ( one of the main concerns most of us would have in outdoors) The camping ground is reserved and hence it is convenient as we could reserve a spot as per our choice. Apart from camping there are few trails to walk around. At night wild boars do come around the camping ground in search of food hence make sure we follow all the guidelines provided by the park authorities. I and my husband were lucky enough to spot few wild animals and birds. The camping ground is good for children too.

Beautiful place. Lots of shaded areas to choose from. There is an RV area but sadly, no shaded area there. Bathrooms and showers are open to all and are kept very clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We've seen a family of wild boars and lots of deer. Apparently, there is a family of bald eagles living there. Weekends book quickly so plan far in advance. The weekdays however, are very open, leaving many of the lots vacant. So if you like less crowds, booking on Sunday through Thursday will afford you more choices and more quiet.

It's a beautiful long hiking trails with no shades so bring water.
No hunting allowed within county parks, firearms are prohibited. There's lots of pigs.
Yes
Yes, they do have campsites next to the lake that they charge for. They can fill up on weekends so you should reserve it ahead of time. They also have day use only.
Yes you can have bonfires on the count side they have metal rings for campfires at fire pits
Bass maybe bluegill. Lake water is contaminated and signs to that effect are posted. Don't know about regulations. Many fishermen fish just left of boat ramp currently where there's an upwelling from the intake pipe water being pumped in from San Louis reservoir.
No
Only if reserved.
Leavesley in Gilroy is easier with the boat. Then head toward the parks main entrance to get to the boat ramp.
And
Fishing is pretty good if you start fishing pretty early or late.
This place closes around 6:00 pm
Car campsite $34, RV campsite $44. No mention of senior discounts. You can make online reservation thru gooutsideandplay.org
Good question. I have no idea, but I know people fish there all the time and pull fish out of the water.
There is no swimming or wading allowed. The fish are not safe to eat either.
There is no kayak or other boat rental here. You can bring your own, subject to inspection for zebra mussels.

Yes, there is on the trails & fringes of some campsites, but it is easy to spot as this time of year it has bright red leaves.
Camping sites gets full months in advance except ones near restroom. For day use, no reservation required.
I dont thimk you can but thay do have crawfish
All watercraft need to be inspected for zebra mussels before launching. Illegal to launch any floating device without said inspection. I've seen tubes and kayaks at anderson so likely coyote too. Best to call ahead to be sure.
Due to the water level being below the bottom of the boat launch ramp it's currently impossible to get your boat in the lake. Maybe with the recent rains and water pumped in from San Luis on Pacheco pass the lake may open in a couple monthas.
Short answer: No. They only allow hiking, biking and equestrian in the park.
Yes
Yes.We stayed there two weeks ago and the campfire in provided fire pit was allowed.
