I had a good experience with techwaste recycling. They collected approximately a total of 40 desktops, smart phones, tablets, and laptops. They sent us an email with a report, certification as well as videos of the shredding. They also returned the next day on short notice to pick up additional items (that we had overlooked the first time) for more electronic waste recycling.

When I contacted beforehand, I was told that they can recycle electronics such as laptops and power supplies. I was also informed that keyboards, copiers, and fax machines are not accepted for electronic waste recycling. It took me about ten minutes from the time I arrived to the time I left. The nice guy (whose name I didn't get) dismantled the laptop in front of me and allowed me to watch it become shredded. It was fascinating to watch.

First and foremost, I wanted to express my gratitude to the staff for all of the hard work they put in every day. They are nice and accommodating. They assisted me in carrying our old computers, 3D printers, and laptops out of my car. I recommend this company to anyone looking for a place to recycle their e waste.

I scheduled for a pickup at my office location and they were on time. They collected a huge amount of e-waste for a reasonable price. They were efficient, professional, and polite. I feel better knowing that the electronics disposal will be properly handled rather than being thrown away in the trash can and eventually get thrown in landfills. Their assistance saved me a significant amount of time and work. I hope to continue doing business with them in the future.

Techwaste Recycling is a for-profit organization, therefore we can only provide itemized notices of destruction of materials received from customers. This is often required as proof of proper disposal by state governing agencies for your company.
Yes, TechWaste Recycling’s Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) compliant number is: CAL000374913 and CalRecycle CEWID: 115306. TechWaste is also R2, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 certified.
No materials are shipped or processed overseas. All items are processed and down-streamed to R2 compliant facilities, which in turn, take commodity based materials to refiners in North America.
All data received from customers in media form (hard drives, tape, discs) become data wiped using the Department of Defense Media Sanitization (DoD 5220.22-M) method. We also offer hard drive shredding, hard drive crushing, magnetic degaussing, and proof of data and hard drive destruction in certificate form.
Throwing computers and other electronic eWaste in the trash overflows landfills and may cause environmental and health damage to humans. Components and materials used to create computers and other electronics are toxic when leaked into the soil, atmosphere, and water system via improper disposal. Utilizing TechWaste Recycling’s eWaste recycling services will benefit the environment as well as protect you and your business against hefty fines or penalties for improper disposal of electronics.
