Had some exhaust pipe parts ceramic coated and they washed off. Returned items to be redone and still the job was not up to par. Very confusing way of doing business like functional crackheads. No one knows where your parts are or in what stage they are in.

I was optimistic when I showed up at Ken's Powder Coating, but let me start from the beginning... Called Ken's and asked if they could match YXZ Blue and the YXZ Black, We where told to find out what colors we want from Prizmatic Powder Coatings. We ordered samples and found the best matches and brought them to Ken's along with 3 YXZ roll cages, we proceeded to show them the colors and they tell us they don't order from Prizmatic and we need to order it ourselves... Not one time where we told that... Ok order up and pay for powder ourselves and had it drop shipped to Ken's.. All this time we where handed off to someone else and had to start over again. .. When dropping off the cages we specified that we NEED to have the cages cleaned and sand blasted. Fast forward a week, we get a phone call that the cages are ready for pickup, we drive the 2 hours and arrive at Kens, cages look good, We talked with the owner and once again assured they where sand blasted, so we load up and leave. When we get back to the shop to install the first cage everything goes good no chipping or flaking, go to install the second one and as soon as we start to tighten the bolts the powder coat pops and flakes go flying in the air. this happened every single time i tried to tighten a bolt on the second cage.... this typically happens when the part is not sand blasted and cleaned... look at the pictures I posted, no sand blasting once so ever where the powder is flaking off.. I really hope both of the other cages where sand blasted properly, this one will need to be stripped and done properly. Pictures to follow

Great experience. Great quality. Great pricing. I enjoyed my experience with them. They did my wheels for me and I couldn't be happier

I had a fabulous experience at Ken’s Powder Coating in Tacoma recently. I am redoing my mismatched kitchen cabinets. Some have piano hinges (which were painted over and chipped) and some have those hidden hinges. I thought I would remove the paint from the hinges and just repaint them. How laborious, after a few I began calling to see who might paint them. I was told you don’t paint hinges you powder coat them! Well, I had no idea what powder coating was. After researching I chose Ken’s because their website showed they supported homeless teens. Off I went, I chose a color and a week later went to pick them up. They looked and felt beautiful and matched my paint. The advice I had gotten was spot on. I immediately asked if they would powder coat my door pulls. They said yes and I dropped off 30 pulls! Well, I now love my kitchen cabinets. The piano hinges blend in and the door pulls never have any finger prints. This was brilliant and Ken’s made it easy and beautiful. Not only that everyone I spoke with there were friendly, helpful and engaged. This was truly a completely wonderful experience. I now recommend everyone, friends and strangers to consider powder coating and definitely call Ken’s! (The counter tops are coming next but I wanted to share even though we aren’t finished yet.)
