Called the number they gave to fix my case In El Monte. they picked up hung up on me twice. The lady at my extension was not answer. I spoke to another lady finally, then she was hostile before hearing my case. Waitef for the callback. Called me back very rude and loud didn't even let me talk. Deplorable

I've used this social security office to handle family affairs over the past 4 years. It's well kept and clean. Get there first thing in the morning if you are a walk in because it gets pretty busy and the parking is limited. There is a metro bus and a local shuttle (Flair Dr shuttle) that drop off on the corner across from the office. You can catch the shuttle at the Metrolink station. Keep in mind that some days have shorter hours. When you arrive you will have to check in at an automated kiosk. It has several languages available for check in. You will then wait to check in with a clerk to state your business. Lastly, have a seat and listen for your name to be called. There are nice bathrooms on-site. Special note: you cannot talk on phones or listen to them out loud in the waiting area. They are extremely strict with that rule. Take headphones and step outside to speak.

i was always intimidated by government establishments and i was worried with how long it would take me to get anything processed. From where i lived, i was between going to the one in El Monte, or the one in Pasadena. According to Google search, it tells me that the crowd in this one is not as much as the one in Pasadena, so i decided to come to the one in El Monte instead; it was slightly closer to me, too and much less traffic. Parking here may be a little tight, but it cycles around pretty quickly, too. You would be surprised about how quickly the process goes and how fast the line went. I came in for a name change, and it was over very promptly. So this was the process for me - line up, when you get to the machine, just put in your social security number, and a receipt with your number would be dispensed. When you get your number, dont leave the line. Wait until you actually check in at one of the windows. You will just be asked what youre there for. I told them i was there for a name change - gave them my number, they gave it back, and i took a seat and waited for my number to be called. They will call you by name, too, sometimes. After that, its really just a matter of coming in prepared with you forms you need and the documents you have to prove you are who you are.

You can’t make an appointment for social security cards just walk in and prepare to wait
When I went the other day it was closed so to be honest I really don't know but I wish you well on your journey because I know what an inconvenience it could be your best bet is on the wall there's a website try to get on the website and ask a question on the website
It is closed to the public due to covid19
The office is not open to the public.
Its the only way ur going to get it but ite almost 60-70 dollars I can't remember I thought they were free
Free The free Dan do not charge
You need to visit social security office. Best thing to do is make an appointment. If you have any questions
Most likely but I would call first and get information on what to do.
From 9am ..4pm
I'm not sure I've heard that of widower marries they don't get benefits. When they remarry they lose benefits. Cause spouse works .but you can keep asking Or go to the social security office.
You probably have to call or go in the office. I think to go in you need to make an appointment
You don't need one.You just sign in & get a ticket # then they call your number & you get to see a worker
Yes..I called the day before and got an appt for the next day. It was easy and there was no wait.
It's not open to public as of 04/10/21. Must call for an appointment
During the pandemic it's nearly impossible to schedule a "walk-in" appointment except under extreme dire need. Your best bet is to get ahold of them by telephone or at www.ssi.gov
If you're not sure then it would be a wise idea to get in contact with the REAL SSI and have them check for you.
No. But itll be faster if you did.
Idk I think so
I don't know if you get charged but i do know that you can only get up to 4 replacements.
Open an online account if you don't have one and there should be a section for frequently asked questions. You might also have to make an appointment or do a walk in. You can always call by phone just to make sure what the steps are. That way if you go in to the office you'll be 100% prepared.
You should be able to but check because if they remarried it might go to the second spouse.
No you can do a walk in. Check in at the counter but do some research on what you'll need to bring. You can also start the application online.
