The staff here are mainly bilingual, very polite and friendly. Waiting times are fairly short. Their restrooms are always clean and there is a variety of places to eat within walking distance, including a 711 right next to it.

Pharmacy here is terrible in dealing with transgender patients. It started off with always using the wrong name despite their being a preferred name, then it was always a supposed issue with prescriptions. Always “yes we can get that ready for you” but somehow always run into some miscommunication between pharmacists. We have dealt with this pharmacy for a year now. They must not understand what it means for a transgender person to miss their dosage of hormones, and the effects of this on their body and mental health, as they hardly ever had the medication ready in time for when it was needed, despite regular calls to make sure that it was. We would be ensured that it would be ready, yet when it came time to pick it up they wouldn’t have it.

The wait time in the room after you get your vital signs can sometimes be very long. That is true, but also understandable. What's more important is the excellent customer service UCI Health Center offers. I have had exceptionally pleasant experiences with the front desk / receptionists. They always make efforts to help at their best. Like today, I had trouble making an appointment (again and again) for an ultrasound at United's since they kept telling me no order was received. I called UCI Health and I had a pleasure to speak to PERLA. She was dedicated and I could not be happier with her professionalism and assistance. Many times, referrals, paperwork, or electronic stuff speak and represent little. It is the communication/connection that matters.

This a actually a health clinic but yes there are ways to see if you can qualify for insurance depending the service you want.
