My sweet girl was very sick and unfortunately she had to be put down. The staff was amazing and charismatic. They let us take our time and walked us through the process beforehand. The technician that administered the shot was very polite and understanding. They let us grieve and had a nice room for us to be in with my baby. Letting go of my dog is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, but they made sure I didn’t have any other obstacles. The only reason it isn’t 5 stars is because of one singular rude lady at the front desk. She rolled her eyes at us before we even spoke and overall seemed very uninterested with her job. If I could I would rate it 4.5/5 because everyone else was very nice and helpful. The pets in immediate danger are seen first which is the only reason for the lengthy wait which is perfectly understandable. I’m so thankful for Route 66 for helping my family and taking care of my dog.

My son's service dog passed away in his arms at home suddenly. We were recommended to bring her here to be cremated. They were so kind to him and helped him through all of the steps that it takes to have dog cremated. They had us fill out some paperwork paid under $150 for individual cremation with a nice box for her ashes. I would totally use them again. Plus while we were there I observed a few dogs come in and get treated right away and cost the owners under 500$. It's so cool to see a place that is kind, friendly and rather cheap. We had taken a dog to another vet. The vet had to do surgery on her and charged us over 1500$ and sent us home with a blind dog. She was seeing when we took her in there. So I will be back.

I have used Route 66 for years now. Not my vet for the basic check ups and such but has always been great to us and our fur babies when the emergencies happen. Fair priced and has always been above and beyond in care for our pets and most importantly very compassionate in times of loss. Their new location is great and being able to check in and be notified when to come has made the process even better. Thanks for all you do!

We had to take our cat in, Princess. She deteriorated rapidly and could not wait for a vet appointment. Unfortunately our baby did not make it. What I can say, is all of the staff was amazing. They took her straight back and did everything they could to save her. They were caring, compassionate & warm. They sent our family a beautiful condolence card. Truly a wonderful bunch that is passionate about their jobs.

Keep all records of you taking care of it and you may have to take it to court depending on how far she wants to push it
