Beautiful short paved trail. Very relaxing walk without any other people. The drive up the unpaved road seemed never-ending and at certain spots nerve wracking.

Definitely worth the trip. Even though it was a 0.7 mile walk on top of the mountain. The view was worth EVERYTHING!! I recommend going before sunset to capture the best pictures.

Not trying to be a negative Nancy at any means. Trail is paved and half a mile. If you want a nice area for a picnic/overlook, I would say to drive up... If you are looking to do a hike though, I don't recommend. 30 minute drive to walk 6 minutes. That being said, might be a perfect little jaunt for grandma or grandpa.

I assume so, weather permitting. It's paved so it's easy to traverse in light snow or rain.
I didn't see any hook-ups for travel trailers but I assume there are some close by.
Can see the train...depending on what part of the outlook you are on... the train is at a distance down the mountain and across the valley Went back in 2020 and the train was no longer coming to Durango, therefore can't see it. If it returns to old route it is visible.
+- 8900ft great view over Durango and down the valley toward Silverton
