I have never written a review but Ovation does need to know that some people working in the office in Chateau Calais are very condescending when they talk to you. I do not understand why people have to be so "combative" when you ask a question. All they need to do is explain things in a "nice" tone . The few times I call or stop by, it seems that most of the time, it is like a discussion of some sort when all they have to do is talk nicely to the residents. It is the residents who are the customers and I am not saying, customers are always right, but because of us, Ovation is able to pay their salaries. I do not think I am asking for much. .

I initially looked at this property in 2009 and fell in live with it. Back then rent was high for the market. Fast forward to March 2020 as COVID is breaking and I rented my place strictly online and moved in. Lexy & everyone was great and have been for as long as I’ve lived here. I’m not one to move around alot, typically staying where I am for 3-5 years. My 2nd lease is up for renewal and I gotta admit I’m scared to find out about the rent increase. Vegas rent is stupid high due to greed and not this alleged housing shortage - I know what my place rents for now and if I’m looking at a $500 monthly increase I’ll go back to being homeless. I make good money but I’m not spending more than 55% of it on rent. My other issues are cosmetic: the garden tub hardware needs to be replaced (it’s loose); whatever material the bathroom counters are is peeling; the appliances & cabinets are dated and nit energy efficient and are past time for a replacement if this property opened in 2022. More importantly…my windows receive direct sun all day heating this place up with $300/mo power bills in summer. Apartments like mine in buildings facing the same direction all have window tint but mine doesn’t. The blinds are yellowed and cracking. Why aren’t my windows tinted? Especially when all the buildings facing the same direction as mine getting the sun are tinted? I spent $400 for insulated curtains last summer but the darn stairwell heats up something awful so any benefit I would have is gone. The roaches & cockroaches are gross. The dumpsters need to be sprayed along with the rock landscaping where these critters hide. My garage & front door are next to a dumpster & I shouldn’t have to insect proof my place. Exterminator shows up with a member of maintenance (after telling the office the inside doesn’t need spraying, the dumpster & landscape does) & they argue with me and leave claiming they know nothing about it. I’m HVAC knowledgeable and my a/c unit needs servicing. Allegedly this was done weeks ago? Which is why there’s little to no air coming from the vents. Charge the freon, clear the debris or replace the unit. Get rid of those awful Amazon lockers. Being disabled, it’s extremely difficult to get to them. UPS, FedEx, they all ignore delivery instructions. I know it sounds like I’m complaining but I’m really not unhappy here. I love it here. My area is quiet & I keep to myself & pay my rent and no one bothers me. If only the city would put a light at our gate entrance…not sure who thought a blind curve with trees wouldn’t impact our ability to turn left out but I dread the day someone wrecks exiting this place.

This place is a total scam and will take your money. No, in fact, they will steal your money. We put down $350 for what they call a cleaning fee for our move in date was suppose to be on April 26th. The fine print stated that you have 24 hours to cancel or you will not get that $350 back. We had an emergency in which we have to move out of state in the next few weeks. I canceled this reservation in 48 hours missing the 24 hour mark. Now this property will not give back the $350, but why are they charging a cleaning fee for place I am not moving into 🤔. I am so glad we didn't move into this place and you should not either. There are plenty places to rent in Henderson, this place is not one of them. Save yourself the headache and rent someone else.

The people in the office are very nice and professional, the maintenance crew on the other hand is very poor quality. In fact it is the worst maintenance crew we have encountered. They DO NOT KNOW what they are doing, they do the bare minimum. They come up with excuses such as “ I’m almost off, I won’t have time to do that “ when it is a 15min task at most. They have said “ Talk to the office, the office never tells us anything “ We talk to the office and they shift the blame back to maintenance. We don’t ask for much, we don’t bug. When a water heater is out for days… with no response or just excuses that is an issue. The A/C has gone out twice. It took them days to fix it the first time, the second time they did come within a few hours. Overall it has been a negative experience with this maintenance crew at this property.

Not sure about a 3 bedroom. We have a nice 2 bedroom. They are like the pictures. We chose a downstairs unit with hardwood floors. We pay a little more because we have 2 dogs. About $1340 a month with a 1 year lease. Very nice compound. No graffiti or trash and nice parks and pools. Very happy there.
