Checked this place out for the first time....It's a nice calm place during the week. A nice place to take the family to play in the park or even swim....I like it because it's far enough from town, that it's not too crowded!

Pleasant park by the river, it feels so much cooler by the river easy to get in and float on the water, swim around or fish

Sorry no camping, day use only. A little way up is lake McSwain recreational ,just above there is lake McClure and north east is Don Pedro all have camping. And great fishing 🎣. I've camped at all of those sights and they are all great. Check out there websites.

People do it all the time and as long as you have life jacket and a floating device..it does go a bit fast
