I have been a resident for over 2 years and I am sure many of the other neighbors would agree that upon lease renewal everything went down hill. I was never emailed my offer at least month in advance to review so I reached out to the office and they were courteous enough to allow additional time to make a decision however, pricing had gone up significantly. Recently divorced with no where to go I decided to stay and make it work financially by getting a second job because everything around town had spiked. When I asked to review the lease with the property manager to confirm the final monthly costs she mentioned they were out sourcing utility and common area charges and would roughly cost $60 a month if that in addition to the monthly rent. I took her word for it although it was NEVER disclosed in my lease what amount to expect. Rent went up over $350 with common area/utilities from what I was paying before. How do you go from roughly $60 of common area costs to over $130?? I am paying for "valet trash" ($30) that is 5 steps away from my door and never use. Pest control that should be paid by the property manager if they have a problem because I sure don't in my unit. I attempted to negotiate my lease as well as a few common area charges I disagreed with to receive a generic answer that could have been given immediately not the day I had to sign the lease to stay in my apartment. They still list my ex husband as a resident even though I have stressed to the office more than 3 times for him to be removed as he no longer resides here. Good luck getting in touch with anyone because you can leave 3 voicemails, call them 5 times a day and not one will ever be returned unless you intend to rent from them of course. Those prices listed online are deceiving be careful. Read your lease and point out every detail that may seem out of the ordinary before you commit. Many units have been vacated and I can see why residents would not want to stay somewhere where they are not valued, communication is vague and management is not transparent. The better business bureau will be hearing about the financial unfairness and deceiving practices happening to everyone in this complex. Rating 3 stars because I have not had any safety issues since I have been here and Rona has always been kind and patient if I have to walk in the office to ask question or seek clarification on community changes.

We are so displeased and extremely frustrated and disappointed with the new property management (MG Properties) that had taken over since June 1, 2022. We just moved on May 27th(28 days ago) and have yet to see some of the issues that we brought up to be resolved, ie: ceiling fan in the bedroom need to be replaced, cupboard shelves in the kitchen need to be fixed due safety hazard issue (shelvings was put up haphazardly). These issues were reported to the onsite management as well as to the site portal on numerous occasions. All we get are false commitments and promises. This is totally unacceptable and will not recommend this property to our friends and relatives due to the lack of care and responsiveness from this property management group.

We applied on Monday and got approved on Wednesday. We really loved the property's amenities and the location. Unfortunately we had to pull out of the lease before we moved in bc we got approved for a program that would get us into a home instead. We were within the 72 hour window to get a refund for our $200 holding fee. Darnell helped us out and went even further and provided us with the leasing managers email so she could process the refund. Overall the staff seem like they would have been very helpful, would we have stayed. So I hope this helps anyone looking. I'm only giving 4 stars because we didn't get a chance to reside.

Ronna was amazing! Thank you Ronna for being you. 12/27/2021 this is an updated review since I couldn’t put a review on solely ARMANDO I decided to add to this review about RONNA. So when I first wrote this review about Ronna it was solely about her but since moving in here I came across some issues ( not major ones) that were handled so quickly by ARMANDO. ARMANDO came today to fix the heater and the bathtub and can I just say that every time I have come across him he was always so nice a pleasant and just ready to fix whatever the issue is. He came in did what he had to do and left and within a matter of like 30 minutes which shows he knows what he has to do and what he is doing. I hope other communities have people like ARMANDO as maintenance and RONNA as assistant Manager in the leasing office. I am more than proud to be a resident here and for my first time ever move I made the best decision I could have made. Thank you Verona Apartment Community for making me feel safe and secure with where I call HOME. Stay blessed and until next time. Take care of yourselves.
