Wait times are 3+ hrs when they say they are not busy. I have seen multiple people come in after me and get seen before me. There was one person running in and out for multiple patients making sure they did not "lose their place in line". Clearly a bias queue process, incredibly frustrating!! You can get faster, better service in TJ.

Came in for a 335 appointment. I was here on time, I signed in to the clipboard in front and had a seat. 15 minutes later I get called and I was told the doctor could not see me because I was late. If there's a clipboard stating to sign in it should be look at constantly. All the women behind the desk were too busy talking about a holiday party, and was told by them that they didn't see me sign in. I missed my appointment due to the fact that no one in the front was paying attention to people signing in.

The receptionists and staff working for Dr. Diego Mendez are absolutely incompetent and unprofessional. Not only did they try to turn my mother away under the pretense of her not having an appointment in the first place (which they later retracted), they demanded that she pay up front without first consulting our insurance provider and asking if they would be able to cover the cost. Their words to me were somewhere along the lines of "we've been on hold for 40 minutes and no one is on the line to talk to us." Did they think I fell off the truck yesterday? The same people I'd called a week prior (on a Monday at 11 am) and spoke to within 5 minutes of that call-- suddenly wouldn't pick up on a Tuesday at 130 pm. It was an absolute nightmare. Not only did my mother have an ovary and a mass the size of John Cena's fist taken out of her-- but to have been taken advantage of because of the language barrier she and my dad both have is abhorrent to me. I've been away from home, living in El Centro for 2 years and this is the type of service I expected from the valley-- not San Diego. Although I am very grateful for the swift action that Dr. Mendez and the surgical staff took in my mother's time of need (it took 90 minutes and was very successful), I cannot, in good conscience, endorse those who work behind the desk at the medical offices of Chula Vista Medical Plaza. Shady. Negligent. Disappointing. Words I reserve for the lowest of the low. But in this case, it's sad to say that I find them applicable to this experience.

Im in the middle on this urgent care clinic. It depends on which day you go and who is working there that day. I've received excellent care to the worst! Sometimes, it felt like they just wanted to hurry up and get the day over, other times, it felt like they were pissed because they had to work Saturdays and it was my fault for getting sick. I kind of want to give it a four rating, but there are some people who stop me from rating it higher.

You need to fill out a release form. You can get this from either doctor. It is better to sign this form with the doctor the records ate coming from.
There is a lab/radiology department right next to UC. Yes, chest x-rays can be done when ordered by your provider.
